While Mom is gone, the Owlet shows it has learned the skill Mom has shown it by shredding and eating the rodent. The Owlet takes a few minutes to figure it out, but it doesn't take long to start feeding itself dinner. After a few bites, the Owlet stops as Mom has returned to the nest on the branch.
