A Christmas Chit-Chat & Cracker Candy🎄
It's just a couple of days until Christmas! Join me for a Christmas chit-chat and I make Saltine Cracker Candy that is extra yummy because of its sweet & salty flavor. And wish everyone a very MERRY CHRISTS! 🎄

LTE CRACKER CANDY RECIPE:
Preheat to 400-degree oven
2 sticks of butter (1 cup) Do not use vegetable oil spreads
2 cups chocolate chips
1 cup packed brown sugar (preferred dark brown)
¾ cup pecans
1 sleeve saltines
In a sauce pan on low heat add the butter and brown sugar, stirring to mix and not burn; bring to a boil and boil for 3 minutes. (It will be a hard boil stirring for the 3 minutes
On a tray (a cookie sheet with sides) that has been covered with parchment paper, line up the crackers (close together and single file, breaking some in half if needed to fit).
Dump the sugar mixture over the crackers; and smooth the caramelized sugar over all the crackers.
Place into the oven and set the timer to 6 minutes.
Remove from oven and spread the chocolate chips over the top.
Cover with foil and set timer for 3 minutes.
After the 3 minutes uncover and gently spread the now melted chocolate chips evenly around.
Then sprinkle the chopped pecans over the chocolate.
Place the tray of cracker Candy in a cool place to harden (or in the frig) about 12 hours.
Once hardened brake into pieces.
