This was a lucky catch, the wife and I was heading down to the drive in to catch a movie, and decided to swing by the CSX parsons yard in Columbus Ohio. when I got there I seen a train on the track that turns in to the NS Watkins yard, so I headed that way to see what engines were on it. and "Shazam " it was the Southern Heritage unit 8099, so this was all I could get of it as it was making the turn north and going deep in the yard, and the movie started soon so had to go. hope you like what I was able to catch.

Southern Railway (GE) originated as the South Carolina Canal and Rail Road Company in 1827. On Christmas Day, 1830, it put into service the nation's first regularly scheduled steam passenger train, "The Best Friend of Charleston." Southern was incorporated in 1894 from the reorganization and consolidation of numerous predecessors, and absorbed another 68 railroad companies over the next six years.
