NS8101 Central of Georgia Norfolk Southern heritage unit

I had just got off work and decided to go fishing at the Watkins yard in Columbus Ohio, to see what could catch. I had to go a back route thrugh Obetz because of road construction. I had seen rail cars stopped on the plate bridge, so I went to see what the lead engine was, and I heard the heavens sing as if the clouds opened up and let that little beam of light shine down on the Norfork Southern Heritage 8101 Central of Georgia. It started slowly rolling, so I went to the crew change stairs and waited for its arrival. As it headed out I went to a spot that has a good view of it crossing a small road bridge to catch NS8101 and its DPU NS4156. Please enjoy the video, and if you like what you see here, please check out my other heritage videos as this is heritage number 6 for me. Please consider subscribing, as I have some other great heritage catches to come. # 7 is my unicorn NS8098 Ol Blue and I have finally caught him twice.

Central of Georgia Railway (SR, GE) was formed in 1833 to connect Macon, Ga., with Savannah, completing a rail link between Chattanooga and the port. It was famed for two passenger trains named after prize-winning race horses, the Nancy Hanks and the Man O’ War.
