Officer rescues baby girl from burning building
Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call about a fire on April 23.
During the rescue op, the officers spotted a baby and a mother on a third floor balcony with flames coming from their apartment. As Deputy William Puzynski climbed the outside balconies in order to get to the baby on the third floor, the mother handed her one-year-old girl to the deputy, and he lowered the infant to his colleagues on the ground. The mother and grandmother were also rescued successfully. No casualties or injuries were reported.
