On Friday May 20th 2022 at approximately 5:32 pm Arkansas State Trooper John Pryor (Troop F) was traveling E on United States Highway 82, approaching the community of Snyder Arkansas. Trooper ​John Pryor was negotiating a right hand curve, which is a no passing zone, when Trooper John Pryor observed a small passenger car passing a truck and almost collided with him head on. Trooper John Pryor ​turned around and initiated his lights and siren. As Trooper John Pryor was attempting to catch up to the vehicle, it made a left turn onto Ashley Road 64, which is a gravel road. Trooper John Pryor made a left turn onto Ashley Road 64 and tried following the suspect vehicle but the dust was very thick and Trooper John Pryor had to decrease his speed. Trooper John Pryor lost visual of the suspect vehicle and terminated the pursuit. During this pursuit, Trooper John Pryor was unable to observe the vehicle's license plate or identify the driver.
