Manisha has a background in primary education and trained as a headteacher. She currently works at QPR’s academy as Foundation Phase Lead. In addition to this she delivers education and football around mental health for both adults and children, focused projects on women and girls as well as ant-racism workshops, through her company Swaggarlicious.
Through her experience of becoming a young carer she saw the importance of using sport to engage with those who have mental health issues to help them develop social and life skills in addition to teaching children to have open and honest discussions around our feelings and wellbeing. This inspired her to author a teaching resource titled ‘Child in Mind’ that provides lesson plans and supplemented resources for educators to use in the classroom and club environment.
In 2017 she received an MBE for services to football and diversity in sport.
She is has attained a UEFA B and Advanced Youth Award and begins her A Licence this year
