10 Mental Health Tips

How to keep your mental health in check

1) Sleep
Sleep deprivation can lead to mental health issues. Studies show that most adults need at least seven hours of sleep each night, though some may need more or less. It’s important to regularly get enough sleep, as poor sleep hygiene can lead to a number of health problems, including increased risk for high blood pressure and heart disease.

2) make daily plane
Journaling is one of my favorite mental health tips, but if you’re anything like me, it’s also a great procrastination tool. Don’t forget that your journal can be as helpful as a to-do list!

3) Get Moving
You might feel unmotivated to get moving after a long day of work, but exercise is one of the best ways to improve your mental health. Try taking a walk around your neighborhood or do some strength training at home for better mental health.

4) Express Yourself
Writing in a journal can be a great way to get your thoughts and feelings out of your head and onto paper. Just make sure you keep it confidential – don’t forget that you’re writing for yourself, not for others.

5) Do One Thing a Day That Makes You Happy
Whether it’s as simple as smiling at someone or having a good laugh, focus on doing one thing that makes you happy a day. And if you don’t feel like doing it, fake it until you make it.

6) De-Stress
Stress can have a direct effect on our mental health. One way to combat stress is to learn how to relax. When we are stressed, it’s easy to rush through life and take on too much.

7) Confide in Family and Friends
No one is more understanding than your friends and family. If you’re feeling lonely or down, confide in a close friend or relative about what’s going on.

8) Don’t Let Fear Control You
Fear is a powerful emotion, and it’s important to understand how to control it. By taking some time each day to face your fears, you can learn to calm yourself when anxiety strikes.

9)simplify your life
One way to improve your mental health is to simplify your life. As you go through each day, take note of anything that seems unnecessarily complex. Are there several steps required for a simple task? Is there needless clutter around you?

10) Set Goals
It’s easy to get overwhelmed by everything that life throws at us, but a big part of mental health is learning how to set goals and achieve them.
