The Venezuelan people want freedom desperately and if they don't obtain it, the U.S. can likely expect a million more refugees, many of whom will show up at the southern border.
This authoritarian government poses a threat to Americans as it plays a key role in drug trafficking and harbors and supports terrorist groups from the Middle East and Latin America.
The Biden administration did nothing to discourage such fraud. Instead, Biden lifted sanctions on Venezuela's regime and released the socialist tyrant's ⁠⁠nephews⁠⁠ in a prisoner exchange in 2022, as well as his main financier, ⁠⁠Alex Saab⁠⁠.
