#eagles,#hays,
An eagle’s eyeball is almost the same size as a human eye The nictitating membrane is a transparent or translucent third eyelid present that can be drawn across the eye for protection and to moisten it while maintaining vision. The term comes from the Latin word nictare, meaning "to blink".
Note: they work independently in each eye and extend from the inner corner of the eye to the outer corner and are translucent.
Birds sleep differently than we do and one of the ways they sleep is by taking brief naps, sometimes only seconds long. You will see her pupils reduce and her gaze slightly converge toward the beak.
