Today we learn the dangers of living in deflation. Deflation, in an economic sense, is the general decrease in the prices of goods and services. Sounds good, right?

Wrong! Deflations come about when money or resources see a decrease in production. When this happens, resources become scarce. They can’t get to the people and as such, everyone will reserve as much as possible. Important resources can’t circulate and people suffer because of it.

I’m encountering that with my iron supply today. The material that makes the tools I need for food and the armor and weapons I need to survive. Without it, my life in Minecraft would become a living Hell.

To combat this deflation, I have decided to invest in an iron farm. It will be damaging in the short term because it will cost plenty of iron. As mentioned before, iron is invaluable to me right now. However, this painful investment will help me in the long term by setting me up for easy access to endless iron. With the iron deflation solved, I can live an easier life.

The scarcity of iron lead to several incidents in this video and even almost cost me my life! But I can rest well knowing I’m in a full iron suit. Also, I built an XP farm and the iron drops go in those chests too. Cool, right?
