Mulan: An Ancient Ballad

Mulan is one of my favorite Disney movies, but I was surprised at the number of nods to the history of Mulan that there are in the movie. This video was a lot of fun to make, but honestly took far too long to just get finished.

I realized after I'd uploaded the video and watched it that I never did finish my summary of the original ballad at the beginning... I tangent easily. Also I only became aware of the recording issue with me talking over the one Atlantis clip about an hour before the video went live. Don't know how I missed that one. Things to learn for the future.

The next movie I want to look at is The Three Musketeers (1994). However, I made the Casablanca video and the week I was going to release it, Russia invades Ukraine. Then I intended to release this video two weeks ago, but Disney and the state of Florida got into thier spat...

C'est la vie.

Though I may have a different kind of history video next. There's a ship I really want to tell you about.
