The Beef
Topside 1k / 2.2lbs - 30 mins per k + 20 mins 190c
Vegetable trivet carrot - leek - onion - celery - garlic

The gravy
The vegetable trivet
Red wine 1 large glass
chicken stock 200ml / 1/3 pint
plain flour 1 tbsp

Yorkshire pudding
Eggs 3
Plain flour 100g / 3.5oz
Milk 150g / 5.3oz
Lard enough to 1/3 fill mould
Pinch of salt

Roast potatoes
Floury potatoes 1.5k / 3.3lbs
Lard 150g / 5.3oz
Butter 2 tbsp

Roast root veg
Carrots
Parsnips

Greens
Leeks
Broccoli
Savoy cabbage
It will be St Georges Day on April 23rd who is the patron saint of England. A few weeks ago I uploaded an Irish Stew recipe for St Patricks day the patron saint of Ireland, which got a decent amount of views.
Unfortunately nobody cares about being English anymore which is a terrible thing. We are the origin of freedom of speech, the bill of right, the Magna Carta etc, and for this we should be most proud.

Rost Beef with Yorkshire pudding is about as English as you can get, it's also bloomin gorgeous, so please celebrate St Georges Day with me and enjoy the best meal you'll ever eat.
