Pregnant woman rescued from migrant boat at sea

The Italian Coast Guard conducted a rescue operation at sea near the coast of Syracuse, after the rescue team responded to a medical emergency call. A  woman who was four months pregnant was reportedly in need of medical assistance, having lost consciousness at one point. The team used a helicopter to help the woman from the boat, which was carrying approximately 80 migrants on board. Later, the authorities managed to transport the remaining occupants of the vessel to the port of Augusta safely.
