God is good all the time 500: God of Peace and God of Wrath NOT God of War

We serve a God of peace as well as a God who has wrath. We do NOT serve a God of war. But there is war all through the Old Testament and there are number of verses that talk about war and warfare in the New Testament. That is true but war is the wanton destruction of things and people, malicious intent and hateful as well as a few other awful things. Our God is wrathful but it is out of love for us that he is so...wrath is justice, punishment that is deserved and it is hate of sin. SO we have no reason to think of God in the way of war and we cannot believe that this will ever be a physical war to bring about the Kingdom of God. Join us as we look at this idea of God and warfare.
