(4-22-2022) (Part 2 of 2 Parts) Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) testifies at a hearing on a challenge to her candidacy for reelection in #Georgia’s 14th Congressional District. The challenge was brought by five Georgia voters under the third section of the 14th Amendment, which prohibits the election of anybody involved in “#insurrection or rebellion” to the U.S. government. Judge Charles Beaudrot is expected to make a recommendation on Rep. Greene’s candidacy to Georgia Secretary of State Brad #Raffensperger (R). If she is found ineligible by Raffensperger to run for re-election ahead of the May 23, 2022 primary, an annotation will be added to ballots in Georgia’s 14th District saying votes for Rep. Greene (aka #MTG) will not be counted.

FYI: The 1996 movie Independence Day quote from President Thomas Whitmore: "We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on! We're going to survive! Today we celebrate our Independence Day!" The poem "Do not go gentle into that good night" was written in 1947 by Welsh poet Dylan Thomas (1914–1953). The full hearing which includes opening and closing remarks, legal arguments and recesses is here at C-SPAN in 5 parts.
