we can identify the male at this nest very easily because of his displaced feathers on the right side.He also has a visible gap in his right wing while in flight in addition to the feathers that we see sticking up, you may notice that the feather rows on that side are rather irregular; they are more organized on his left side. You will also notice how neatly organized the feather rows/layers are on both sides of the female.When a feather follicle (the place where the feather grows from) is damaged, it can result in loss of a feather or a feather that grows but doesn't grow in properly.#hays,#eagles,
