White-crowned Pigeon

Widespread through-out the Caribbean, and beyond that only found in extreme south Florida, the White-crowned Pigeon is not often seen perching or on the ground. If you see them, it's usually at the tops of mangrove trees, or in flight over open water. Due to it's lighter gray coloring and muted white cap, I suspect this is an immature bird. As an adult, they are dark gray with a bold white cap.
