POLICE CHIEF PROPOSES BANNING AMPLIFIED SOUND

New Bern Police Chief plans to offer up an amendment to previous NOISE ORDINANCE by outright banning amplified sound by individuals.

Documents attached to amendment describe law enforcement not being able to cite violators, so I they plan to ban the activity altogether.

The Department also describes many complaints, however the number of complaints and where the claimed problem is occurring is overlooked in the attached board documents.
