FactoryTalk View Studio Derived Tags With PLC Programming

Derived tags are often used in large-scale control systems to send commands to the PLC logic for a summary of an event happening such as alarms for example.

This is not the only use for derived tags in FactoryTalk Studio.

Although, to give an example, we are using an alarm summary to send a derived tag command from the FTView application to the PLC.
