We cleaned up my messy and disorganized workshop by building a wall! The transformation in my shop is incredible. We framed the wall up, ran power to the new receptacle outlet boxes, and sheeted with OSB. This project has been a long time coming and it will make a huge difference going forward!

Many individual communities have urgent needs as well. Contact local emergency management personnel to find out what items – like shampoo, blankets, diapers, etc. – are needed and where they can be donated. The Kentucky towns of Bremen and Mayfield are near and dear to our hearts, but Benton, Eddyville, Princeton, Dawson Springs, and many others were greatly impacted as well.

Before we bought our farm all my tools were organized in the garage at our house. When we moved I upgraded to this nice 36’x30’ pole barn, but there has been one huge problem – there’s nowhere to store anything! I’ve been wanting to frame up a wall for over a year but with the price of lumber being sky high I haven’t been able to prioritize this project.

I recently came across some free lumber and decided to make my own 2x4s to frame the wall. I bought the OSB sheeting and electrical components I needed, enlisted the help of a good friend, and knocked this thing out. At the end I added some French cleats to make hanging cabinets a little easier.

I am thrilled to have this desperately needed improvement completed! It’s been a long time coming and it’s going to make a huge different going forward; now I’ll be able to get work done much more efficiently since my shop will be cleaner and my tools will be organized.
