This entire series was filmed during late summer of 2010.Many of the personalities still can be found but many others have moved on. This series will tell you of history, it will show attractions, and it will make you laugh and cry. This is the Mother Road. Follow us as we reveal American's main street. In this episode of the Route 66 Adventure Elmer Long gives us a pictorial essay of life as a Bottle Tree Artist. We left the Bottle Tree Forest and found yet another Fenced in Ghost Town and we explored the Iconic Antique Station (1901) that was standing before Route 66 passed their doors. From this point on, in California, Route 66 fever fades, so we are on our own. Our next destination is the bridge that crosses an underground river: The Mojave River Bridge. We continued west to Hosporia to film the Summit Inn (burned down). California has been burning down these last few years and I am not sure how many places like this survived. We always try to follow the oldest alignments, the original road, as much as we can, so we took exit 129 to film two old parallel Old Road alignments right at the Saint Andres fault.
