This week on Sunday Longplay, I'm playing one of the oldest and most well-known Mega Man ROM hacks out there, with an added twist! Welcome to Roll-chan No Constancy!

Rockman No Constancy is a Mega Man 2 ROM hack created by IKA that completely overhauls the music and environments, creating one of the most beautiful and eye-popping Mega Man hacks on the scene. The difficulty has also been massively increased from the original Mega Man 2, giving Mega Man veterans a decent challenge. Since this hack is based on the Japanese version, there is no difficulty select like in the US version. Instead, the two difficulties come in two separate patches: one for Normal mode, one for Hard mode. Normal Mode is still very much harder than the base game, but Hard Mode takes things up to a whole new level, with reduced mercy invincibility, increased damage from enemies, double enemy health, and reduced energy recovery. Of course, since I love a good challenge, I'm doing this on Hard Mode!

I'm also playing this with an additional sprite hack. Someone made ROM hacks of all the NES games that let you play through them as Mega Man's sister Roll instead, and another hacker found a way to get the Roll-chan 2 sprite hack to work with Rockman No Constancy as well. So I'll be playing as Roll on Hard Mode!
