The Ukraine has struck a major Russian munitions depot with a massive drone and missile attack. Given the distance from the Ukraine border and the layers of Russian air defenses that needed to be penitrated, there is no way they could have done it without NATO help. What is really ominous is that the Russians have gone dark on this. No statement from the government and no reports in the Russian English language media. This tells me that the Russians are likely planning a significant response to this very dangerous escalation. I fear that this attack has pushed us neared to the abyss of nuclear war.

Using WW 2 as an example, where Germany fired over 8,000 V-1s and 3,000 V-2s without significantly impacting the course of WW 2, I make the argument that allowing the Ukraine to strike deep into Russia with US and UK long range missiles will not only have no significant effect on the dire situation on the ground for Ukraine, it will actually make Ukraine's situation far worse as well as risk all-out nuclear war.
