Matt Innis, you are part of the problem :(
Evnen must be the nicest guy to everyone in the world except to those of us who expect accountability from him. There are many people who call Evnen a dear friend who are providing cover for him. Evnen failed at the job and he lied to us. There is no way in hell he should be reelected.
People need to wake up and see just how deep the corruption runs. It's all about them trying to keep our elections out of the hands of the people. Being a "useful idiot" is just as dangerous to freedom as knowingly engaging in the corruption.
Until we demand accountability, absolutely nothing will change.

Omaha City Council meeting 3/29/22
I spoke today before the Omaha City Council in support of an amendment that would put a check on the authority of the city health director. But what I sought to emphasize to the council is that a bigger picture perspective is needed--one that involves common sense, critical thinking, and upholding one's oath.

Jagged Little Pillen (I will never give him my vote)
GET OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE!
Over and over again since I have felt called to become a public voice, I have found myself asking God, "You want me to do what?" That is what I was asking when I felt like God was calling upon me this morning to begin my message by singing. I don't sing for people. Not publicly, nor privately. I never have. But I have learned to trust God whenever he calls me to act outside of my comfort zone. This was definitely outside my comfort zone, but I've also learned that the only judgement that should concern me is that of God. So I will try to continue to do as I feel called, even when it is something that I would not choose for myself. (This was hard for me to do, but I'm glad that I did it.)
When I felt called upon to share this message, I was reminded of one Sunday a few weeks back when Michael Connely, Rex Schroder, and I were campaigning together out west and we visited a church service one morning. Michael felt that we should go, but I was reluctant about it because I didn't want to seem like we were pandering for votes, especially since I don't even belong to a church myself. It was made clear to us right away why we were directed to attend that church that day. There was a message in it for us. We hadn't been there ten minutes before some of the members of the church began asking us about our views of abortion. The views that were held by some of the people of that church were abhorrent. They were pro-abortion, and especially so when it involved black babies. I was appalled to hear such things being spoken, especially in a house of God.
The energy that was felt in that church was dark to me. There was an absence of light in a place of worship. As I said, I do not belong to a church, so I seldom attend a church service. If this is what our churches have become, then it is no wonder that our country is in such peril. I had even noted to Michael and Rex that day that there was no emotion nor joy expressed in the hymns that were sung. (I don't have any problem singing in a crowd, where I feel I can blend in.) People were just going through the motions. We could not get out of there soon enough. (To be fair, there were a few in that church who showed us kindness, but the overall energy was not good, and the presence of evil there was definitely felt by all three of us.)
The few bars of a hymn that I sing at the beginning of this video are very brief, but the message that I take from God asking me to do it is twofold. One is just a furthering of the message that I have felt called to share in the past about the importance of us using our voices--that unashamedly using our voices for God is where we will find relief and the answers that we seek. And the second part of the message in this, I think, is that we need to be very discerning in where it is that we seek our guidance, for the places and the people that we place our trust in may not truly be worthy of it. We will not find the guidance of God in a church that has rejected Him. And we should be careful about the faith that we put in those within our political party to uphold our values as well.

And I am frightened by the corrupted ways of this land"

Secretary of State Evnen cannot be trusted to provide oversight of our elections
For those who do not know, the people in this video who claim that the Lancaster County Grant money was spent on PPE are Secretary of State Bob Evnen, Democrat Senator Carol Blood, and the Director of Public Policy at Civic Nebraska, Westin Miller.
I recently posted a video pointing to evidence that Secretary of State Evnen has been negligent in the job of providing oversight of our elections. That video can be viewed here:
https://rumble.com/v1zkfeo-secretary-of-state-evnen-lied-to-us-but-is-someone-telling-him-what-to-say.html
The facts show that Evnen doesn't have a handle on what he is doing. I'll not speculate as to the cause for it, because regardless of whether it is laziness, incompetence, or outright corruption, the voters of Nebraska are harmed all the same.
Our senators MUST step in and fight like hell to pass election integrity bills. Each one of them in the Unicameral should be measured by the efforts that they are willing to exert on this matter. Our nation is undergoing an election integrity crisis, and those who have said in the past that Nebraska has nothing to worry about with regard to how our elections are conducted can no longer use that excuse. The facts demonstrate that our election officials are not being honest with us.
In this video, I reference a "resolution" which may be downloaded and used by anyone who would like to use it. The resolution was written to provide Nebraska voters who are concerned about our elections with documented and verifiable evidence which they may submit to our senators to demand that meaningful election integrity bills be introduced in the 2023 legislative session.
The resolution includes some legislative proposals which I believe address things which would help to secure our elections. Others may have their own (and better) proposals for legislation that they would like to see our senators introduce. For me, the most important part of this resolution is the outlining of the reasons for why our senators absolutely must--for the sake of upholding their oath to protect our constitutional rights--address the calls for our elections to be made secure.
This resolution points to some concrete examples to show why it is that we cannot trust Secretary of State Bob Evnen, and also to why we cannot trust the machines which are used to count the votes. When presented with evidence that Secretary of State Evnen has lied to us, which senators will continue to tell us that Evnen is trustworthy and has done a good job as our Secretary of State?
This resolution serves as a test of accountability to find out which of our elected officials will side with the people and which will side with their political peers. The arguments in the resolution can also be used to contact Attorney General-elect Mike Hilgers and remind him of the commitment he has made to look into the constitutionality of the ES&S contract.
Our elected officials are only going to do what we demand of them. Whether they address election integrity in earnest or not during this upcoming legislative session will largely depend upon what we do now. This resolution was written to help those who would like to "do something," but perhaps do not know where to start. I, myself, am still figuring it out as I go, but the important thing is that we not let up when it comes to reminding our government that they work for us. We will get what we accept, and now is the time to speak up and let our senators know what we will and will not accept.
The resolution may be downloaded at the link down below. I will copy and paste the text of the resolution below as well. Feel free to use it however you like, but please consider sending it to Senator Clements, Senator Halloran, AND to your own senator (if your senator is not one of those two).

Senator Steve Halloran shalloran@leg.ne.gov (402) 471-2712

And the text of the resolution is copied below:
RESOLUTION OF NEBRASKA VOTERS CALLING UPON LEGISLATORS TO ADOPT MEANINGFUL LEGISLATION WHICH WOULD RESTORE ELECTION INTEGRITY TO NEBRASKA’S ELECTION PROCESS
Whereas, the oath of an elected official binds him or her to support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Nebraska; and
Whereas, many Nebraska voters believe that their right to a free election and to exercise the elective franchise per Article 1-22 of the Constitution of the State of Nebraska has been hindered and impeded through a lack of transparency; and
Whereas, the elective franchise is the right of qualified voters to cast their votes for the candidates of their choosing AND to be assured that their votes are counted as they are cast; and
Whereas, the elective franchise encompasses not only the marking of the ballot, but also the interpretation (or the “counting”) of that mark which gives it meaning; and
Whereas, the oversight of the software and machines which count the votes is internal to our government and their corporate affiliates in such a way that denies Nebraskans the assurance that their votes are counted as they are cast; and
Whereas, regarding security testing, the ES&S contract with the State of Nebraska includes confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements which instruct the State to “not share or disseminate into the public realm the Testing Results or any other related information,” and “not directly or indirectly publicize in any media or public forum whatsoever any information or materials or any opinions, conclusions, or comments concerning the testing results” (State Contract 88525 O4, p.20); and
Whereas, Secretary of State Evnen has stated that Nebraska voting machines were specifically ordered not to be internet accessible due to the potential for manipulation that internet capability poses to our elections; and
Whereas, despite known vulnerabilities of internet accessibility, Nebraska’s voter registration system is maintained using internet accessibility and remote access Albert sensors which leave our voter registration system vulnerable to intrusion and manipulation; and
Whereas, in a “Joint Statement from Elections Infrastructure Government Coordinating Council and Sector Coordinating Council Executive Committees,” dated November 12, 2020, leaders of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency, the U.S. Election Assistance Commission, the National Association of Secretaries of State (of which Secretary of State Bob Evnen is a member), the National Association of State Election Directors (of which Deputy Secretary of State Wayne Bena is a member), ES&S senior vice president of security, Chris Wlaschin, and others involved in the oversight of our elections, stated that “The November 3rd election was the most secure in American history”, and that “There is no evidence that any voting system deleted or lost votes, changed votes, or was in any way compromised”; and
Whereas, despite an ongoing nationwide election integrity crisis, those named in that joint statement still insist that our elections are secure; and
Whereas, ES&S’s history of refusing to comply with subpoenas has further eroded public trust in the services they provide; and
Whereas, hand counting of votes under recorded video surveillance would allow full transparency to the public and would restore faith in our voting system; and
Whereas, on the January 25, 2022 DriveTime Lincoln radio program, Secretary of State Evnen--in reference to a grant received by Lancaster County in September 2020 from the Center for Tech and Civic Life and funded by Mark Zuckerberg, stated that “Lancaster County accepted $404,000, and they spent it on personal protective equipment;” and
Whereas, the “CTCL COVID-19 Response Grant Report” submitted by Lancaster County Election Commissioner David Shively indicates that $0 of the grant money was used to purchase personal protective equipment and that the grant money was primarily used to facilitate mail-in voting, including the purchase of ballot drop boxes; and
Whereas, Secretary of State Evnen stated on DriveTime Lincoln radio on January 25, 2022, that ballot drop boxes were utilized as part of the COVID-19 response, and that “That was the purpose for them and now that purpose has come and gone;” and
Whereas, despite giving an inaccurate reporting of how the CTCL grant money was spent, Secretary of State Bob Evnen claimed in public speeches that the use of the CTCL grant money was investigated and did not affect the outcome of any elections in Lancaster County—a claim which was backed up by Deputy Secretary of State Wayne Bena who said in the Government Affairs Committee hearing on January 26, 2022, “To be clear, the acceptance of this private funding by Lancaster County did not change how the 2020 election was conducted by the election commissioner, or its outcome;' and
Whereas, the failure of Nebraska’s election officials to accurately know how the CTCL grant money was spent calls into question the veracity of the claims that a thorough investigation of the matter was conducted and casts doubt upon claims that it can be known that the grant money did not change the outcome of Lancaster County elections; and
Whereas, these contradictory statements from election officials justify the concerns of Nebraskans who no longer have faith in them as trusted sources, and they merit a response from our senators to ensure that our elections are made transparent to the voters; therefore, be it
RESOLVED that Nebraskans call upon our senators to introduce and prioritize legislation in the 2023 legislative session which would seek to accomplish the following goals:
1) To remove all internet accessibility and remote access used in maintenance of voter rolls; and
2) To change the definition of “voting system” to state that electronics and software may be used in the creating of ballots, and only in the casting of ADA-compliant votes, and never in the counting of votes, though not to exclude calculators free of programmable software, nor electronics as used in recorded video surveillance of the process; and
3) To end the use of ballot drop boxes and to require that any ballots not returned by mail be delivered to the county election office; and
4) To require a chain-of-custody procedure for any ballots being delivered on behalf of another person, such as a receipt process that records the name of the third-party and the number of ballots submitted by the third-party.

Why does Trump still consider COVID "vaccines" and ventilators successes of his?
It is of great concern to me that when Trump was recently asked what he would do differently when the next virus comes along, his answer suggests that he would do nothing differently from what he did in the past with regard to his response to COVID.
The answer Trump gives this woman seems to blow off any concerns about the safety and efficacy of the shots, which he still seems to tout as a success of his--even as he also notably says here that he has chosen not to speak about the vaccines that he not so long ago proclaimed himself to be "the father of."
It is notable that as he campaigns for president, Trump has gone rather silent on an issue that rates so highly in importance among his base of supporters. What is even more notable is that his supporters seem to be giving him a pass on the matter. There truly seems to be a mass formation psychosis in which many in our nation are participating. The article below certainly suggests that there is.

Dishonesty abounds; Trust no one to vet your candidates for you
I hate having to make posts like this because it distracts from the important things. I left high school a year early (and, yes, I graduated) because I could not abide the drama that goes on there. Well, let me tell you, I have found the world of politics to be no different. And I don't like it now any more than I did back then.
Nebraskans Against Government Overreach (NAGO) claims, in their candidate assessment of me, that I engage in "infringing on the rights of those with opposing viewpoints." Aside from this comment about me not being true, the irony is that NAGO likes to silence those who have viewpoints that oppose their own by blocking them from groups. Allie French, the leader of NAGO, prefers that the members of the group not be permitted to hear any views with which she personally disagrees. She "protects" you from information the same way the GOP protects voters from engaging with candidates other than those chosen by party leadership. This is establishment behavior, and it is of the swamp.
As the leader of a group that purports to preserve our liberty, she and those around her (including her choice of candidate for governor) have all demonstrated to me that they do not value a free and open exchange of information. Just because you call yourself a constitutionalist doesn't mean that you are one. For someone who has been a victim of censorship, it truly surprises me that Allie is more than willing to engage in the silencing of others when it is in her power to do so. That kind of behavior is cowardly, because it snuffs out any opportunity to compete on message. It isn't just NAGO who censors and silences voices that they don't want heard. Other so-called conservative groups do too, and so do many of the GOP groups on Facebook. They all behave in the same swampy, "politics as usual" manner.
It is a coward who simply wants to eliminate an opponent in ways other than those that involve a fair and honest fight. I am ready for the fight. Always have been. My message is a solid one and it is a consistent one. Vet me. I WANT YOU TO. You know why? Because I do not fear accountability.
I do not wish to engage in any back and forth with immature people who have already labeled me as a "cult member." (I neither enjoy it, nor do I have time for it.) But it needed to be said that NAGO is giving people bad and very biased information when it comes to how they vet candidates. Don't believe everything that you read. Do your own research and decide for yourself.

Q/QAnon-type sources are as much of a "reliable source" as Brian Stelter ever was
In this video, I show more reasons for why you should not trust the popular Q/QAnon-type sources that are out there. Why does Trump, who used to call out the "fake news" of the mainstream media, now turn a blind eye to "fake news" sources from Q/QAnon? Those sources can be debunked as easily as the news from mainstream media sources--IF people actually bother to fact check them. Fake news harms us, no matter who is doing it, and Trump should not be promoting fake news himself, simply because he is made the hero of those stories.
I will say that it is of great concern to me that so many Trump supporters have bought into propaganda narratives that paint Trump as a savior or a "chosen one" or the "anointed one" whose actions must not be questioned. Those who cannot question the actions of those in their government are not free people. I remember when I was a kid in school and was shown pictures of what took place during the Holocaust, I thought, "How could such a thing have ever happened?" Now I know, from watching it happen right in front of me and to people I know, just how easy it is for people to be convinced to justify evil and wrongdoing. It is amazing to me that some, who bring up the Nuremberg trial in their calls for accountability from those who are responsible for the COVID-19 vaccine, insist upon excusing Trump's part in it.
I know some would credit Trump as being the one who exposed the "COVID Cartel," but such a claim defies all reason to me; and such "exposure" certainly cannot be equated to the locating and gathering of film footage of crimes already committed. Such narratives that paint Trump as a hero in all of this depend upon Trump taking part in the wrongdoing in order to produce (not expose) the evidence they claim is needed. Before Trump fast-tracked the development of the COVID-19 vaccines, no one was ever at risk from death, injury, disease, or possible sterility from a COVID vaccine. Sure, he never mandated it, but he also claims that there would be no COVID vaccine at all if not for him. The "badness" of Biden does not mean the "goodness" of Trump. Biden pulled the trigger on the weapon that Trump handed him. To argue that Trump "had no choice" makes about as much sense as saying that Otto Ohlendorf should have met a different fate following the testimony he gave at the Nuremberg trial. He was hanged.
I fear we have become an ethically compromised nation of people who can no longer discern right from wrong. Trump can't fix this. Only a return of our nation back to a trust in God is going to fix this. We live in fear and not in faith, and we put our trust in those who we look to to secure our temporary human comforts. We have abandoned concerns for our souls, it seems. A lot of the Q/QAnon narratives create more of a reliance upon those telling the story than a reliance on God. God is sometimes mentioned by these people, but it never rings true to me as anything other than blasphemy. I believe that God is the Light and the Truth and that God is never obscured from those who ask, seek, and knock. This is why the messages that we are all part of a "scripted movie” never ring true to me. They are messages that are meant to create a dependency upon authors who remain obscured to us, but whose script for us we are told we should accept. We should not look to man for our script, but to God--who gives us the awesome power of choice. That choice--our free will--is the reflection of God’s image in us and I think we would be wise to embrace that power and to use it wisely. It is a great power which God has given us, and with it comes great responsibility. One day we will all be made to answer for what we chose to do with that power.
Here are some questions that, if I had the opportunity to sit down and interview President Trump, I would be asking. I think these are good questions to put to him, given that he is once more asking us to trust him to hold the highest job in our country.
Q: Why did Trump, after resisting wearing a mask for so long in 2020, finally succumb and put one on in July of that year and send the message to Americans that wearing a mask was the "patriotic" thing to do? This was the moment that I really started to lose faith in Trump's judgment, for the example that he set to Americans when he chose to do that was one of submission to social control rather than resistance to it. That is the point that I began to truly worry that Trump, for whatever reason--and I do not pretend to know what motivates his actions--was not going to be the person to stop us from barreling right into the kind of government which he has promised to protect us from. I don't know his motives or his "heart," but I do know that there are decisions that he made which very much make me question his judgment. So this is a question that I would like for Trump to answer. Why did he put on the mask and claim it was the "patriotic" thing to do?
Q: Why, after so many Americans had traveled to our nation's capitol on January 6 to try to make their voices heard after feeling robbed of their voices in the November 2020 election, did Trump tell everyone to go home. If America was to be "Great Again," then why abandon the principle that our government is supposed to be of, by, and for the people? Trump could have--and I believe should have--rallied the people to know their rightful place in government and reminded them that our government is that to which we give our consent. Some will surely say, "Oh, but he couldn't have! "They" never would have let him." But those who make such an argument are arguing for a submission to tyranny and have forgotten what our "Declaration of Independence" says. A fighter would have fought and a leader would have led. Trump did neither then, and so I would like an explanation from him as to why he did not. I think that, given the circumstances we are now in BECAUSE we didn't push back against tyranny when we should have (with regard to both the election fraud and the masks), we should be demanding that any candidate for POTUS demonstrate to us that he or she is up to the task of being both a fighter and a leader.
Q: Why did Trump shut down our country and divert trillions of dollars of government funding (that comes from us and future generations) to COVID-19 "relief" and to the fast-tracking of an experimental vaccine for a virus that he himself clamed in February 2020 had a VERY low fatality rate and posed no huge threat? I would like Trump to answer that. I also would like for him to explain why it is that he said in February 2020--even when he was saying that the virus posed no real threat--that we were "very close to a vaccine" even at that time. And I would also like for Trump to explain why, if he knew that the virus had such a low fatality rate when he spoke of it in February 2020, that he changed his story and, even to this day, is telling us something else--that it was HIS vaccine (he insists that he be credited for that "beautiful shot") that has saved millions and millions of lives. That simply isn't true, and I would like to ask Trump why it is that he continues to tell us that it is. https://www.voicesofnebraska.com/silent-no-more/why-did-trump-shut-down-our-country-and-put-taxpayer-toward-a-vaccine-when-he-knew-the-fatality-rate-of-covid-19-was-so-low
Q: Why did Trump say that the COVID boosters were a "moneymaking operation"--and then later get the booster shot? That is another question I would ask Trump. https://www.voicesofnebraska.com/silent-no-more/trump-said-boosters-were-a-moneymaking-operation-and-then-he-got-boosted-wtf

Beware the "Grassroots" deceivers who shut out the true grassroots candidates
Be careful who you trust. There are a lot of deceivers in politics who prey upon good people whose hearts are in the right place.
The deceivers blur the lines between good and evil.
Trust no one. Not even me.
Do your own homework. And as you do, ask yourself why someone like me--a true grassroots candidate who pushes back hard against the establishment elite--is so despised, silenced, and shut out by those who purport to be supporters of grassroots.
Voices of Nebraska candidates have been shut out by both GOP and so-called grassroots groups who seek to replace the "old guard" with themselves.
We do not ask for donations, but for candidates like us to have a chance, politics must move from being money-driven to people-powered. A government of, by, and for the people must involve the people.
The best way for you to support grassroots candidates who are shut out by the establishment is to help us by sharing our message. Tell others about us and send them to voicesofnebraska.com or to my voicesofnebraska Rumble channel.
A vote for a Voices of Nebraska candidate is a middle finger to the establishment.

Our government needs a spanking (warning: a few bad words!)
Time to rat out those in government who are ignoring their constituents. I have been criticized for coming down hard on our so-called "best" Republicans in office. But I would argue that we haven't been nearly hard enough on them. They are acting like disrespectful, undisciplined children.

Trump's example of how he "drained the swamp" makes no sense!
In a recent interview with Maria Bartiromo, Bartiromo raised the issue with Trump that many have claimed he has failed to uphold his promise to "drain the swamp. Trump pointed to his firing of FBI Director James Comey as an example of how Trump had drained the swamp. But, as I explain in this video, the example Trump gives only highlights further that Trump did NOT "drain the swamp" when he had opportunities to do so.
You can read more of my commentary and watch Trump's exchange with Bartiromo on this topic at the link below:

My commentary on the 3/2/22 election bills hearings
Yesterday, the Nebraska Legislature held hearings on several proposed pieces of legislation. We were fortunate enough to have Dr. Douglas Frank come and speak to our senators to give his input on the bills. Candidate for governor Michael Connely and I also were present and spoke to the committee as well.
I think the overarching theme of the day is that not enough is being done, and that the bills put forth do not address the real problem, which is that ES&S holds full control of our election process and the people have been cut out from it entirely.
Here are the links to the letters that I mention in the video, if you wish to copy them (or adapt them however you like) and send them to your senator and to the Attorney General.

THIS IS WHY YOU SHOULD NOT TRUST THE NEGOP
You may follow the link below to see my comments about a recent post on Twitter from the NEGOP which should alarm you if you are someone who believes that we need to get machines out of our elections.
https://www.voicesofnebraska.com/silent-no-more/and-this-right-here-is-why-you-should-not-trust-the-negop
If you thought that the "takeover" of the NEGOP meant that you were getting new people in there who were going to put the interests of the people above doing whatever it takes to win elections (for their own sake and not for yours), then you have been snookered.
The recent claim from the NEGOP that Mike Flood should be praised for "helping write legislation" that "gives the Secretary of State the authority to remove corrupt software from our election equipment" is absurd! The amendment proposed by Flood and then passed by our legislature revised the definition of our "voting system" to now include "any software or service" (ANY!) in the "creating, casting, and counting" of ballots. In no way whatsoever did Flood's adopted amendment move us closer to restoring integrity to our elections. In fact, it moved us in the opposite direction.
But what really stinks to high heaven about the NEGOP's cheering of Flood is their suggestion that Flood has helped to grant Secretary of State Evnen the authority to rid us of "corrupt software." WHAT A JOKE! For them to make such a claim very clearly indicates two things: 1) that they haven't got a clue that the revision of "voting system" leaves our elections WIDE OPEN to the use of "any software or service," making them MORE vulnerable, and 2) that they haven't got a clue that Secretary of State Evnen has ZERO intentions of ridding us of any "corrupt software," as is indicated in his public comment given before the Government Affairs committee.
Or maybe they do know. Maybe they aren't so clueless.
Here's what I know. I know that Governor Ricketts office has told me that the change in how our voting system is defined was done to permit the Secretary of State to have more oversight. I am guessing that the amendment proposed by Flood to add "any software and service" to our voting system came at the suggestion of Evnen himself. But listen to Evnen's public comment, and then you tell me if that man is EVER going to give up the ES&S machines.
All Flood did was grant MORE authority and oversight to crooked Secretary of State Bob Evnen. So much for that "new guard" replacing the "old guard" of the NEGOP. They cheer on this bullshit and they beg for Republicans to vote for Pillen. And all the while, they don't even TRY to make Pillen a better candidate. The NEGOP should be demanding that Pillen get his ass out of the basement that he's hiding in and debate his opponents. But they don't. Instead, all the NEGOP cares about is winning elections, and the "new guard" is no different than the "old guard." Winning elections is good, but if they were sincere about restoring power to the people, they would insist that Republican candidates respect the voters enough to work to EARN their votes. Instead, they let them run amuck and make excuses for their bad behavior.

Beware any Ricketts endorsed candidates! (Short video message)
At the candidate forum in Rushville this past weekend, I had the opportunity to speak twice to those in attendance. In the order that we spoke, both times I went just before Senator Hilgers, who is also a candidate for AG. And both times that I had the opportunity, I called upon Hilgers to assure Nebraskans that he does not share the dangerous views of Ricketts (who endorses Hilgers) and of the women in our Legislature who have made it clear that they are all supporters of "because I said so" government--the kind of government that cares nothing for facts or for seeking out the truth, but instead would presume a person guilty simply because someone said that they were.
Voters should heed this as a red flag. The next time the finger could be pointed at YOU.
This presumption of guilt that is being promoted by those within our very own government is NOT just. An endorsement of any candidate from Ricketts should be a red flag to voters, and any candidates who have received Ricketts' endorsement should be asked if they share his views when it comes to how it is that we determine guilt. "Because I said so" government is a very dangerous thing, and people should take heed of candidates who do not speak out against it. The next time, the finger could be pointed at you.
Senator Hilgers stuck to his scripted speech and never did answer my call for him to go on the record as to where he stands when it comes to whether or not Herbster should be presumed guilty or innocent.
(Herbster isn't even the candidate that I will be voting for. I will cast my vote for candidate for governor Michael Connely. But Herbster is entitled to the presumption of innocence, and it worries me to see those who are currently serving in our government say otherwise.)

NEGOP should rebuke Ricketts' conduct before we end up with "Sasse 2.0" in the Senate
Many reluctantly supported Pillen for governor, claiming that they would rather get a Republican elected and THEN hold him accountable, rather than to have called him to account before the election. There exists now an opportunity to hold Pillen to account.
Governor Ricketts is seeking to be appointed to the senate seat being vacated by Senator Ben Sasse. But is Ricketts any better than Sasse, who has been rebuked by the Nebraska Republican Party?
The new leadership of the NEGOP should prove that they truly are different from those whom they replaced. They should demand that Pillen, whom they gave their full support as a candidate, show loyalty to the people of Nebraska and NOT reward the corruption which Governor Ricketts led in order to assist Pillen in becoming Nebraska's next governor. (And, which, was certainly done to ensure Ricketts' own appointment to Sasse's vacated seat.)
Governor Ricketts engaged in an abuse of the authority of his position as governor. If the NEGOP, who supported Pillen as a candidate, doesn't speak up publicly now and advise him NOT to appoint Ricketts to Sasse's senate seat, then they are supporting that kind of abusive government--and none of us are safe under that kind of rule.
Will the NEGOP speak up now and hold Pillen to account? Or will Republican leadership sit silent in the face of all of this and allow Pillen to reward the corruption which his friends in elected positions engaged in on his behalf?

Think Trump is the wall between "us" and "them?" Think again.
Kennedy is more conservative than many elected Republicans. As I said in the video, I don't know who I will vote for, but conservatives do need to be more honest in their assessment of Trump. I not only welcome anyone to fact check me on the concerns that I have, but I encourage it.
Many seem to have forgotten how damning Trump's own words regarding his role in the development of the vaccines are. But I don't think Trump has forgotten. I think he knows that the vaccines are his Achilles' heel. Why else would he have shifted from insisting that HE be the one who should receive all the credit for the shots, to going dead silent when it all went south--as many predicted it would. Trump wanted all of the credit and none of the accountability, it seems, for the right thing for him to do now would be to SPEAK UP about the harms being caused by the shots and to now recommend that people STOP taking them.
People should truly be alarmed that he hasn't done that. The shots are still being pushed on children. Doctors across our country are still at risk for speaking the truth about the virus and the shots. Advantages and incentives are still being given to those who submit to the shots and disadvantages and hardships are befalling those who reject the shots. That hasn't ended, and yet, so many people tell me that we should just "move on" from all of this. It clearly isn't behind us, though, and as so many rights have been trampled upon in the push to get everyone vaccinated, people should think twice about whether or not our nation would be safe with Trump once more "calling the shots."
Why should we trust Trump to do the right thing if reelected when he isn't doing the right thing NOW by speaking out against this continued violation of people's rights?

"The day when our thoughts can be read, and our genes altered" (Live Not by Lies)
Ignoring the truth leads to a forgetting of what the truth ever was. That is a very dangerous thing.
"Never knowingly support lies!"
Here is the link to the reading of "Live Not by Lies:"

Here is the link to The Gateway Pundit article that I referenced about Fauci:

And here is the link to another article from The Gateway Pundit which I also had intended to reference in this video and either forgot to or it got edited out. (But I think I forgot! See how easy it is to forget?) But it underscores the point of the timeline of things that I speak of in the video with regard to Trump's February 2020 claims that we were "very close to vaccine" for coronavirus.

Is Trump still deserving of your support?
Easier to read commentary can be read on my website at the link below. Not sure why Rumble isn't letting me format the text here with spacing anymore.
https://www.voicesofnebraska.com/silent-no-more/is-trump-still-deserving-of-your-support
I suppose today is as good a day as any to kick the hornets' nest, but with Trump putting himself out there as a candidate for 2024, then this is a question that those who have supported Trump in the past are going to have to ask themselves. Is Trump still deserving of your support?
This video was made by J-6 political prisoner Jeremy Brown a few months back, when he was running for Congress from his jail cell in Florida. At the time this video was made, I think Brown had been jailed without a trial for over 400 days. Since that time, Brown has gone to trial, been found guilty, and is awaiting sentencing. This man was set up by our government for his willingness to expose the wrongdoing within it. When he would not join them in their corruption, they planted evidence of him and targeted him for punishment. Sure, there are some who will say, "But he admitted that the sawed-off shotgun was his!" Yes, and that gun was seized from where it was stored on his property when his home was raided (and evidence was planted against him), NOT from his person--and it was a family heirloom with a very sad history, for as I understand it, it was the gun that his brother used to take his own life.
Some might also say that Julian Assange (whom Trump refused to pardon) is getting what he deserves as well. Well, let me tell you something, there is nothing "just" about how Assange or Brown--or many others who have been persecuted for telling the TRUTH--have been treated. Any crimes that they may have been guilty of, any wrongdoing that they might have done, they have paid the price for many times over. The saddest thing is that these two men will never get back what they lost. The days past can never be restored to them, and even if they were each granted their freedom this very day, their path forward would be one in which each of them would have to constantly be watching their backs. Trump did not do what he could have for Assange before he left office, and since that time, he has failed to do all that he should have done to support those people who are imprisoned by our government because they showed up to our nation's capitol on January 6, 2021, to support HIM and his message of Keeping America Great.
Trump has allowed himself to become a politician. I did not support him from the very beginning. I preferred other candidates in the 2016 primary, but when Trump became the Republican candidate, I voted for him and he quickly won me over. But the man that I came to love as president is not the same man who is asking for my vote in 2024. The man that I supported in 2016 was the man who was well-known for telling people, "You're fired." He was a man who was famous around the world for entertaining people with a television show in which a job that was not well done was not rewarded. That guy knew how to show people the door when it was necessary to do so. And it's what a good business man does in order to protect his business. It isn't mean. It's just smart.
But that guy is gone. I'm not sure what happened to him, but I'm done making excuses for his failures to live up to what he once was. I don't expect perfection either. Any good politician (if such still exists) must be one who is willing to risk failure, for that is a possibility anytime action is taken to try to solve a problem. The "good ones" have guts. They have a spine and a backbone. Most politicians are too cowardly to even try to fix things. (Though the problem runs much deeper than even that.) A good politician must also be willing to stand and answer for the actions he or she took. Trump has failed in that regard. Trump has made some mistakes that he should be willing to answer for before he asks the American people again to entrust him with their vote. As President, Trump was a spender. That is just a fact. Given that I was happy with other things he was doing, I was willing to trust Trump's decisions to spend as he did. I made excuses for him when others would criticize it. If he had a plan to excuse such spending, then he threw it all right out the window when he failed to fight like hell to keep our country (and the debt which he had accrued) from falling into the hands of tyrants. I think it was irresponsible for him to have spent the way that he did and then NOT to have fought harder to ensure that it was not all done in vain. (Because, surely, he had a plan, right?) But instead of using his voice and his influence with the people to rally them to action (God knows the Democrats would have!), Trump told everyone on January 6 to go home. And then he disappeared for a while. What the hell? Where was the fighter that I once adored--whose image was on my fridge magnets and whose name was on my socks? (I really was a fan.)
The good no longer outweighs the bad, and as I have watched and eagerly hoped to see some glimpse of a return of the fighter who I supported in the past, all I see now is a man who has lost sight of why he was so loved by the people in the first place. It was because he WASN'T a stereotypical politician. But he has become one. My hope that I would see him return to being more in tune with "we the people" than with politicians has been eradicated by Trump's failure to recognize a real opportunity for a historical MAGA moment. Despite calls from so many Americans--many who, like myself, have been strong supporters of Trump in the past--for someone other than swamp rat Kevin McCarthy to become the next Speaker of the House, Trump behaved as a politician would and told us that we should accept what he was serving up to us and that we should like it. People became conditioned to trust Trump because many of the things which he has done in the past did benefit us. But his judgment has slipped and I no longer trust him to make sound leadership decisions.
The only way that Trump could earn back my trust now is if he finally begins to embrace accountability. My conditions for giving Trump my vote are very much in line with those which Brown mentions in the above video. It is all rooted in ACCOUNTABILITY. Trump SHOULD acknowledge that he made many errors during the COVID-19 response. He did not fire Fauci. And, short of that, he did not bring in other voices who could have countered the narrative of the plandemic. The closest thing we got to any real pushback was found in Dr. Atlas, but his time there was brief. There were many other (and stronger) qualified voices which were never allowed to be heard. (And some of those doctors who spoke up have become political prisoners of our government as well.) He called himself the "father" of the COVID-19 vaccines. Anyone who claims that title must own the consequences of what it means. Many mistakes were made which need to be acknowledged, and just as God does not automatically bestow forgiveness upon anyone--it must be sought--Trump should seek forgiveness for the mistakes that he has made as well. He should not take us for granted.
I should have heeded the warning signs which did indeed raise an eyebrow. Trump got elected on chants of "lock her up," and many believed that he would hold Hillary Clinton accountable once he was elected. The link below offers a good summary of what happened instead. He didn't "lock her up." He "let her go." Imagine what the trajectory of history might have been if he hadn't.
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/nov/22/donald-trump-hillary-clinton-investigation-jail-dropped
Consider that so many of the good things which Trump has done are things which have effectively been undone. Trump's many accomplishments have been erased--and so quickly--by many who might not have held the power to do so if Trump had followed through on his promise of accountability with regard to Hillary Clinton. (Allowing James Comey to stay on as FBI Director baffled me even then.) Trump's present boasts of "Trump did this" and "Trump did that" are now the equivalent of a high school jock talking up his high school glory days. They are little more than memories now. A big contributing factor to why it is that we no longer have those good things that Trump brought is Trump's failure to hold people accountable. The list is LONG of people whom he was soft on--people who have HARMED us. Hillary Clinton, Romney (he never should have endorsed him), James Comey, FAUCI! The list is long. And with regard to the vaccines, Trump needs to also acknowledge his own part in that. But instead we have government that operates like a dysfunctional family that tries to hide away the bad behaviors of those within it and pretend to the rest of the world that they don't exist.
At present, I think it is fair to say that Trump has lost any future vote from me. That doesn't mean that he cannot earn it back, but it must be earned. I think that there are two things that I will remember most about what just played out regarding the vote for House Speaker. One is that the conservative side I was rooting for was deeply divided. There was more than one dividing line, but the one that was drawn the deepest was that between the politicians in Washington, D.C., and "we the people." They aren't listening--and that includes Trump. The other thing that stands out to me is that politicians are focusing on political "wins" which they think they have gained in the bargain that was struck which put McCarthy in place. What concerns me more than what we got out of the deal is what it is that we have given up in that agreement. Congressman Crenshaw called the holdouts to McCarthy "terrorists." Political prisoner Jeremy Brown called them "warriors." I am ashamed that our country has become one in which so-called conservative representatives in government don't even bat an eye at comments like the one made by Crenshaw. They are so out of touch that they don't even realize--or perhaps they do not care--that those insults directed toward the people who are doing the rare thing of standing up for us (regardless of whatever their motivation for doing so may have been) are insults directed at US as well. Those who labeled patriots as "terrorists" won the day, and I will not forget Trump's part in it.

FU NEGOP (Pillen-pushers)
Don't give them a penny. Make them earn your vote.
I won't send them a penny, but I will send them a message when I vote Libertarian for governor. (I believe Scott Zimmerman has more integrity than Pillen and would put Nebraskans first.)
The NEGOP done gone and effed up big time, and now these Pillen-pushers are trying to shove down our throats a candidate for governor who has demonstrated by how he ran his campaign that he lacks decency and integrity, and that he is willing to sit silent when--to benefit his campaign--those in our government abused the authority of the offices that they hold. I will never give my vote to someone who has made it clear that he views our government as a tool that can be wielded for his own gain. Pillen puts Pillen first. Or perhaps it is Ricketts that he puts first. But you can be sure that it ain't you.
You know who else stayed silent? The NEGOP. Heaven forbid they ever call out bad behavior from one of their own. And in the shitshow that played out regarding the witch hunt against Herbster (whom I did not vote for myself), there was definitely more than one who should have been called out.
I know from having had many discussions with people who run campaigns for GOP candidates that they condone the nastiness and the mudslinging. (I think some of them revel in it.) To them, it's all just part of the game. Whatever it takes to win. And the GOP laps it up and lets it all play out, with no regard for how any of it affects the people of Nebraska.
We get what we accept, and if we don't ever stop accepting this kind of crap, we are never going to stop getting it. The GOP feels nothing for you but disdain, and yet they still have the balls to ask you for your allegiance and your money. I'm not doing it.

Did you know only ONE Republican candidate for governor supports the EPIC Consumption Tax?
As someone who, myself, has been trying to learn more about the EPIC Consumption Tax proposed by Senator Erdman and scheduled to be addressed at the state capitol next week, I was somewhat gobsmacked when I realized that of the nine candidates for governor, only ONE of them (that I know of) supports Erdman's legislative resolution. Several candidates do support having a consumption based tax, but not as proposed in LR264CA. When I made the video, I wasn't sure where Pillen stood on the issue (because he doesn't attend debates), but I did look on his website, and it appears that I was correct in assuming that he is not a supporter of the EPIC Consumption Tax.
Anyway, as the video shows, I have more questions than answers. As it stands now, I would not oppose LR264CA because what is being debated is whether or not this issue should be put on the ballot for the voters to decide. But I do think that there are a lot of things about it to ponder. And, why, out of nine candidates for governor, has the EPIC consumption tax plan garnered support from only of one of them?

This is why Tucker's interview with Trump was not a serious one
This is a video that I posted seven months ago, but I've edited it and abbreviated it a bit to share it again now, because I most certainly think that it's every bit as relevant now (if not more so) than it was then. It points to a lot of the things that we aren't talking about--but should be.
One of the reasons I wanted to share this again now is because the article discussed in it references Tucker Carlson's past reporting on the COVID vaccines. It is unreal to think that during Tucker's sit-down interview with Trump, that this topic wasn't at the forefront, given that concerns about the safety of the shots that many Americans have.

Post-election commentary
I'm not sure I can even call this "post-election" commentary. Are the elections really over? I mean, they should be, right? But here we are, two years after the November 2020 election, and nothing has changed for the better.
This is part of a series of video commentary in which I discuss where I discuss what I think we should be doing next.

"Trump-phobic rant" #3
It is unfortunate that so many great achievements have been erased. But he was dead wrong about the vaccines. I recently rewatched Trump's "Farewell Address." Watching that video again now and hearing Trump describe himself as someone who would look at a skyline and see the towering possibilities, it makes me think that those around him with ill intent may have used his large ego against him. In speaking about the vaccines, he said, "They said it couldn't be done," and he referred to it as a "medical miracle." Well, he said that's what "they" were calling it. But that statement alone would indicate that Trump was selective in hearing only praise for himself, because the "they" who were calling the vaccines a "miracle" were not coming from his base of supporters.
Unlike the propaganda fictions that pretend to know Trump's every thought and motivation, I can only speculate why he did what he did when he decided to put his own name at the helm of such a deadly experiment. I never had a problem with Trump's ego in the past because, as my daddy always said, "it ain't braggin' if it's true." But with regard to Trump's boasting about the vaccines, it WASN'T true. Actually, in fact, Trump went along with perpetuating the lie of the plandemic, for the truth about it--which many Americans knew and which an observant and cautious president should have known as well--was that the virus had a fatality rate of less than half of one percent for the majority of the people and that a rushed experimental vaccine was not necessary.
I can only guess (and hope, for other explanations would involve him being in on it as well) that Trump was defeated by his own ego. I can imagine a scenario in which Trump's ego was stroked by those who might have convinced him that his own name could be forever attached in large letters to a "medical miracle." As Trump says of himself, it was his nature to take on "towering" projects, and we all know from our own observations that it was also his nature to put his name in large letters on those "towers." I think that might be what he hoped to do with the vaccine, and his focus in this speech on the economy probably also factored in to why it is that he lost sight of the big picture and could no longer see that the plandemic was NOT what we were all being told by the "experts" that it was. So many others knew it long before Trump--and to be honest, Trump STILL perpetuates the plandemic lie when he has failed to speak honestly about the true fatality rate of COVID-19 during his presidency.
The fact is that I was a die-hard "Trumpette," but I love my kids and my country more than I love Trump, and I owe it to my kids and future grandkids to do whatever I can to ensure that whoever gets my vote in the future for the highest office in our nation is a person with the best judgment (assuming that our votes will even count in 2024). Running for office is a job interview, and Trump is not exempt from the interview process. We would be fools to think we should hire him back for the job without questioning him thoroughly on the concerns I just raised, which I know are shared by others as well.
Trump himself should understand that--unless he lets his ego get in the way. I remember him saying at a rally one time when the mic or sound was no good that they should not pay the guy who set it up. Such a statement indicates that Trump himself knows that shoddy work should not be rewarded. That doesn't mean the guy who set up the mic isn't great at his job, but it does mean that he screwed up BIGLY when it mattered most, and things like that cannot go unanswered. If the sound guy kept his job, he probably had some explaining to do first. It is entirely reasonable to expect Trump to do some explaining as well, if he wishes to again hold the job of POTUS.
The title of my video is obviously meant to be tongue-in-cheek. But I'm not kidding when I say that I would not be surprised if "Trump-phobia" began trending. I can remember when conservatives used to make fun of those on the left who equate the word "phobia" with the word "hate," and who--because they do not want to engage in an actual conversation--will hurl such insults at a person and then run away.
Sadly, this is what many Trump supporters have begun to resort to as well. I haven't actually been called "Trump-phobic" yet, but I have many times of late been met with the equivalent label of being a "Trump hater." I'm not. But if Trump is applying once again for the job of POTUS, then it is reasonable and right for us to interview the man and expect some answers from him. That's what I'm doing, because I think it is the smart and responsible thing for voters to do--no matter who the candidate is.

Senator Slama's response to election integrity concerns (She is no patriot)
[If you listen to this with headphones, be aware that there may be some sudden fluctuations in the volume due to the varying quality of the recordings. I don't think there is too much variance in this one, but I still like to give a heads up.]
I have no qualms whatsoever about stating that Senator Slama is NOT a patriot. The way that she views what is going on in the world right now and the way that she believes our government should work is in stark contrast to my own views--and I do consider myself a patriot. I believe that Republicans have handed over our country to tyrants, without ever even putting up a fight, and I believe that "we the people" have every right to expect representation from those who have asked us to entrust them with that responsibility.
I have shared in other posts audio where Senator Slama has stated that what I am trying to do is to "overthrow the government." Such a nasty woman. What I am trying to do is to hold to account elected officials like Senator Slama who, through either laziness or corruption, are failing to see that they have given our country over to tyrants who will never hand it back over to us willingly. We will never get our country back without a fight, but it is clear that those who SHOULD be fighting to protect our freedom as our representatives in government are--for whatever reasons--no longer up to the task. And it isn't just Slama--none of our elected officials are fighting as they should be. They ALL should be held to account.
Don't we deserve better than what we have been getting? Do you feel as if our elected officials are watching our backs? Or are they only watching out for their own?
