Episode 5 - Internet Throttling
Does anyone remember Net Neutrality? It was once upon a time. Nowadays, our Internet gets throttled. Sometimes into oblivion. Why? To manage the bandwidth? To channel us through certain Internet Lanes?
In short, do you get the real-life speed you are paying for?
Note, this throttling does not happen in Speed-Test sites. However, it happens nearly everywhere else.
In this video, I do the test via Valve’s Steam on Manjaro Linux. A big download with and without VPN. The difference in speed is simply astonishing. See for yourselves!

Live Stream 1 - Tech Privacy and Control via Linux
This live stream debut offers a glimpse of the situation in technology today - while illustrating the status quo of the Big Tech and how it affects our daily lives.
During the course of this stream, we will cover the ways we can regain our privacy and eventually take back control of our technology.
To achieve this, we are looking at the variety of options and focus on the Linux Operating System as the means to de-couple from the control of big corporations. This means limiting the surveillance and protecting ourselves from censorship.
Near the end, it illustrates a user-friendly Linux distribution & at the end, there will be Q & A.

Episode 4 - Secure Online Communications
This video is about fulfilling the promise on emails and communications that I made on Episode 3.
Security in our communications is paramount, especially with the way the tracking is being escalated.
The article from the Tech Crunch website:
https://techcrunch.com/2022/07/05/voyantis-emerges-from-stealth-to-predict-customer-lifetime-value/
In this video, I am talking about certain ways to establish secure communications - from the simple approach for the non tech savvy, to the more engaged, for those who wish to know more.
Within the video, I mention apps like Telegram, Signal, and Viber. I also offer a wider approach to emails, which aren't exactly secure. However, there are a few clients (or even Electron web clients) that can be in a better position for your privacy than others. However, most of those clients work best in Linux.
The reason I do push Linux is that it does not come with key-loggers preinstalled. Therefore, no spying is done on that OS.

Episode 3 - Extreme Privacy
Yes, there are ways to have extreme privacy on your computer. Mind you, it will have to be a Linux laptop. Phones are too vulnerable to provide you with what you need. Also, desktops are too immobile.
If you feel like your work or your life may be at risk, then this is a great way to be online without being tracked.
However, at the end of the day, it's all about personal responsibility. You wouldn't want to login to Facebook with a privacy system now, would you?
Note: Due to the details required for secure communications, such as emails (that I mention in this video), I will cover the subject in an upcoming episode.

What is going on with the VPNs?
Something has been ongoing lately, where the locations of VPN users start to shift to other locations than the servers they are connected to.
As a result, some users find themselves unable to connect to Truth Social, which is - currently - taking connections only from inside the continental United States.
This is a curious event that has been happening for about a month or so now - and I have been trying to get to the bottom of it. Thus far, I have tested 3 major commercial VPNs and a private one.
This "re-tunneling" is not a VPN provider's fault - and I doubt that it's because of outdated IP databases. Something different must be going on.

Episode 2 - How to fool the surveillance AI
This small video is a small guide and offers an overview about how you can fool the tracking and surveillance when using Big Tech operating systems and services.
If you absolutely have to use i.e. Windows or a mainstream phone, there are ways where you can keep your privacy - or at least part of it. Naturally, it would be ideal to have a system - any system - that runs Linux, so that you have a gateway for your full privacy.
In the end, however, it all comes down to the user.

Episode 1 - What is Digital Freedom?
First "official" episode of the channel. What is Digital Freedom?
It is an aspiration to help guide American Patriots toward reclaiming their technology at home and at work.
Who am I?
I am - by definition - a Power User who has been involved with technology and computers since 1984. I traversed a variety of operating systems, from Amstrad's original "Locomotive Basic" (though that isn't exactly an Operating System), through Amiga OS (Workbench) 1.3 through 3.1, then Windows 3.1, 95, 98, Me, NT4, 2000, XP, Vista (ugh), 7, 10, 11.
Meanwhile, I've also utilized Apple's macOS from version 10.5 through the current 12.4.
In all those years, I've also been a Linux user, starting from SUSE, back in 1995, then jumping into Ubuntu and Debian in 2010 and onward.
Currently, I operate the following Operating Systems:
2x Arch Linux
1x RedHat Enterprise Linux
1x Zorin OS Pro
1x MX Linux
2x Debian
1x Windows 11 (gotta keep an eye on them)
2x macOS 12.4 (Intel & M1 Pro)
Beyond that, I've been a 3D/CGI/VFX Professional with several awards in Europe. I'm a Greek who got pulled in the United States and has been here for the past 3.5 years.
Last, but not least, I help American Patriots regain their Digital Freedom via Jeffrey Peterson's Telegram Channel at https://t.me/jeffrey_peterson and I am the main supporter in the forums at https://forums.jeff.pro.
I also help with weekly workshops and provide content for Jeff's Learning Management System.

NextCloud Deployment Promo
At last! The Course on the NextCloud Hub II (https://nextcloud.com) deployment will be up and available today on the Jeff.Pro LMS.
This is not a Snap nor a docker image. This is a from-the-ground-up installation, the good old-fashioned way, on an actual home server. Everything comes from the official Debian repositories and the NextCloud archives.
NextCloud is an impressive replacement for OneDrive, Google Drive, and Dropbox, with communication and collaboration tools, as well as a personal cloud. You are only limited by the drive space you add to it. And all of it happens on YOUR hardware. No men in the middle, which includes your communications.
For more information, visit https://jeff.pro or any of the links at the end of this promo video.

The Effects of Piracy in our Supply Lines
This was part three of a set of videos I was called to perform during the month of May of 2022. This one depicts the issues of piracy in dangerous areas and the roles of security companies and innovative technologies (that yes, they run on Linux) in protecting the vessels and their personnel.

Anti Piracy Drones Video
Recently I was contacted by an old friend to help him with the creation of audiovisual material for a new system that warns and protects both civilians and military personnel from the threat of piracy while out in international waters.
My main workhorse for this endeavor was Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
