Your Family Calling Sin Sickness
In the mid 60’s a remarkable event, related to a word, occurred in evangelicalism. The event would have a devastating effect on evangelism and the sanctification of believers. Yet, in spite of the destructive consequences, this event went unnoticed by many Christians, even to this day.

A Troubled Heart
“Let not your heart be troubled” are probably some of the most tender words spoken by our Lord, Jesus Christ. They were spoken to comfort and console His disciples who had been with Him for three years. In John 13 Jesus told them that He would be leaving. He immediately saw they were saddened and worried. Their hearts had become troubled. They lost their sense of peace. A troubled heart affects all men and women. A “quiet heart” is what people are looking for? They want relief from a feeling of restlessness and anxiety? Some call it “peace of mind”, tranquility or calmness.

The Abortion Question: "What is it?"
The abortion debate is not a debate per se between those who are pro-choice and those that are pro-life. It’s not about choice, health or privacy. The debate is not about forcing one’s religion or morality upon someone else. It’s about one question and one question only. WHAT IS IT?

The Biblical View of Work
How does your occupation; your job relate to your Christian faith? Does it matter to God, how you view your work, or how you do your work? Think about it. One thing we have in common regarding pain is; we want it to go away. We want to feel better. Question; does a person’s response to aching and hurting have anything to do with its intensity?

Equality of Men and Women
From the beginning the Bible teaches the equality of men and women. The idea that’s taught and practiced in a lot of cultures that men are dominant and superior is NOT taught in the Bible. In fact the Bible condemns male dominance and superiority. To say men are superior is to deny the equality of the image of God in women.

Cursing and Profanity
There is a growing use and acceptance of cursing and profanity.
We’re all aware of it. We hear it every day. Even from little children; potty language. When a five-year-old says the word “poop” or “fart” the other kids giggle. It’s funny. Older kids believe cussing is cool; a sign of maturity. Sadly, some Christian parents are not setting a very good example.
