A Troubled Heart

“Let not your heart be troubled” are probably some of the most tender words spoken by our Lord, Jesus Christ. They were spoken to comfort and console His disciples who had been with Him for three years. In John 13 Jesus told them that He would be leaving. He immediately saw they were saddened and worried. Their hearts had become troubled. They lost their sense of peace. A troubled heart affects all men and women. A “quiet heart” is what people are looking for? They want relief from a feeling of restlessness and anxiety? Some call it “peace of mind”, tranquility or calmness.
