Bring exact change for your barber
Bring exact change buddy😏 @truththebarberartist

I may have done this once or twice back in my day. OK I forgot how many times I did it, but it was only because I didn’t want to ask other barbers for change. A lot of barbers don’t like to be bothered while they are working. In addition, those hungry barbers won’t pass up on that next walk-in just to step out and get some change. I’ve heard from more than one barber that this tactic increases your tip intake, but at what cost? Would this be fair to the clients? I know one of two things happen. Either the client comes back prepared with change the second time around or they end up feeling that they were forced to overpay a tip and won’t return. So there’s nothing wrong with keeping some extra change around in case of an emergency. At the end of the day the balls in the barbers court.🤷🏻♂️

Loud clippers/ trimmers?? This might be your problem🔬
I believe it’s just as important to get to know your tools as much as it is to learn haircutting techniques. Most barbers I speak to want PPS from their tools.. Power, performance and silence. Proper maintenance of your tools is a big part of keeping those three qualities intact. You can’t always blame the clipper companies for your tools not performing the way you want. Sometimes it’s poor maintenance or just wear over time. A little TLC never hurts. Your tools are your money makers so take care of them as much as they take care of you. Your clippers/ trimmers are like babies, you should never drop them and they only make a lot of noise when something is wrong. Figure out what the issue might be and address it accordingly.💈•#truththebarberartist #barbertools #barberblades #clippers #barbershop #barberstyle #damage #noise

Barber promotes his barbershop inside another barbershop
Hey I tried🤗 @truththebarberartist

Imagine a world where all barbershops worked together. All on the same page, all with the same mindset of success, all with the same system. Skies the limit!! I have talented barber friends all over the world and I’ve referred my traveling clients to them many times. There’s nothing wrong with sharing clients but it’s a different scenario when it becomes stealing clients. It’s disrespectful to promote your shop in front or even inside of a different barbershop. There’s many different was to work together despite the competitiveness. Good work always gets recognized so those extreme tactics aren’t necessary.

Barbers have no room for mistakes on hairlines😑

Some clients could care less if you line them up nicely and others take it very seriously. Some Barbers work in detail so much that they even use white pencils to draw lines before they use trimmers for those extra picky clients. Other barbers will just do what they feel looks correct which in some cases won’t be to the clients liking. Detailed consultations are a great way to avoid miscommunications or misunderstandings.😬

It’s not easy being a barber
When you put aside the beautiful haircuts and the glamorous side of barbering there are those times when you deal with a little more of the uncommon. Barbers sometimes deal with clients who have certain skin conditions. It’s up to the barber to recognize these conditions and service the client accordingly. @truththebarberartist

Scalp conditions exist in certain clients but the haircut must go on.
As long as the client leaves happy then the barber’s job is done💈@truththebarberartist
