Is your dog failing recall?
Dog Recall Failure. Reason #1.
Is your puppy, or dog, failing to recall?
More than likely you haven’t taught your canine companion the recall command.
You need to put in the time and effort to teach and train your dog. Puppies are born naturally with obedience skills. They must be taught to listen and assured in action of recall. They must also be rewarded in a positive manner when doing so.
Make recall a priority when working with your dog every day!

Gundog Training Tip - Post Field Inspection
It doesn't matter if you're hunting, trail walking, or simply exercising your dog outdoors, it's always best to conduct a post-field inspection of your dog. Examine its eyes, ears, coat, and areas where burrs and scratches may be present. Ensure that your dog is completely scratch and burr-free before returning home. Also, check for insect parasites at this time too.
Inspecting your dog soon enough will help determine if immediate veterinary care is needed or if it's something that can be easily addressed at home.
