While on a hiking trip early Sunday morning I made a quick stop at the Great Falls vista on the Maryland side of the Potomac River. It had been raining all weekend so the currents were louder and faster than usual. The atmosphere had a divine mist in the air and Schubert's Ave Maria felt like a right fit for the view. Found this baby White-tailed deer in my backyard on a breezy summer day. It was resting by some high grass near the shed with no mother in sight. I grabbed my camera then setup shop from a distance trying not to disturb it. Hit the record button, sat down & enjoyed the afternoon with the little guy. The fawn hung around for an hour before it’s mother finally returned to take the kid home. White Tails are native in my hometown (Mid West, Maryland) but I’ve never seen a baby fawn so calm & pretty like this one. Enjoy and thank you for your visit. HIT SUBSCRIBE!
