WILDCATS @ VIKINGS 3/13/2021
“Welcome Back” lit up the scoreboard at ‘Birger Field” as the Holtville High School Vikings varsity football team hosted the Brawley Union High School Wildcats in a rare meeting between both teams on the gridiron.
A much seasoned, 22 seniors returning, Holtville Vikings gave it their all for most of the game and built up a 20-0 lead in the first half, keeping Wildcat fans from enjoying the return of high school sports in California. It was a group of athletes at every level from true freshmen through the veteran seniors that never gave up and managed to put it all together late in the game to take their only lead that would illustrate a Wildcat Victory of 23-22 win for Brawley.
