Hey cannabis Experts, and welcome back to the channel. We thought we’d greet you with something a little bit different today. 10 questions and 10 True or False answers. How will you get on?
To take this quiz, all you need to do is answer true or false to each statement we make. We’ll give you the result before moving on to the next statement, though we’ll give you 5 seconds to consider your answer.
Statement one. It is legal to smoke cannabis in the privacy of your own home.
This was a bit of a trick question as in the UK it is illegal and a Class B drug, while in many parts of the USA the law varies so it might be legal in one state, but take two paces forward and cross a state line, and you could be breaking the law. Our advice - ask a local law enforcement officer before you light up if it is illegal or not.
If they draw their gun, chances are it's illegal!"
Statement two. Cannabis suppresses your appetite.
The answer is FALSE. If anything, cannabis stimulates the appetite, hence the expression ‘cannabis munchies’.
Statement three. It’s okay to drive your car after you’ve been smoking cannabis.
The answers is FALSE. Driving under the influence of drugs is treated as a similar offence to driving under the influence of alcohol.
Statement four. Sharing your crop of cannabis among your friends does not constitute dealing.
The answer is FALSE. Whether friends or strangers, sharing your stash of cannabis with anyone is illegal where the law forbids and can land you with a lengthy prison sentence.
Statement five. Smoking cannabis makes everyone feel happy and mellow.
The answer is false. While the great majority feel happy and mellow after smoking cannabis, a percentage of people feel anxious and paranoid.
Statement six. The majority of youngsters today don’t smoke cannabis.
The answer is TRUE. In fact while only one in three youths may actually try cannabis, less that one in ten go on to become regular users.
Statement seven. The effects of smoking cannabis are temporary.
The answer is FALSE. While the feeling of being stoned may wear off after a short while, regular smoking of cannabis can have a long-term effect on our mental health and wellbeing.
Statement eight.
Medical cannabis is little different to the regular cannabis we smoke.
The answer is FALSE. Medical cannabis has traditionally had all the THC removed so as to avoid any risk of a high.
Statement nine. Today’s cannabis is stronger than cannabis was fifteen years ago.
The answer is TRUE. Compared to cannabis produced in 2005, today’s cannabis is on average 50% stronger in terms of THC.
And finally, we have Statement ten. It is 100% legal to buy cannabis seeds from London Seed Centre.
The answer is TRUE. It is perfectly legal to buy cannabis seeds. However, the same can’t be said when it comes to anything you might do with them, but that’s none of our business, so to speak.
And that rounds up todays quiz. Let us know in the comments how you scored??

Our Top 5 Weed Strains for a Great High!
Our Top-5 Strains for a Great Weed High
To those who have never smoked cannabis, there is a (mistaken) belief that there is only one high,
and it is because of that single high that people smoke cannabis.
Who wants to tell them just how wrong they are?
How do you explain why they are wrong?
Maybe we should tell them about THC and how varying levels of THC can affect the way our brain
reacts, leaving us feeling either energized, euphoric, uplifted, relaxed, or sleepy.
More to the point, THC is ‘counterbalanced by CBD, which has a more calming and sedative effect.
That is why in many instances marijuana or cannabis is illegal, but CBD, one of its constituents isn’t.
In simple terms, CBD is not a ‘psychoactive’.
Finally, there are hundreds of chemicals in marijuana, and it is the combination of some of these with THC and CBD that can ultimately create different highs, not to mention terpene levels and our own physiology.
So, perhaps we should now look at the varying strains of cannabis that are specifically associated
with a specific high.
Let’s start with Energized.
Think Green Crack. This is a legendary sativa strain dating back to the 1970s and, for obvious reasons, is well suited to daytime enjoyment.
Green Crack is also abundant in myrcene, pinene and caryophyllene terpenes, though knowing that
may leave you feeling none the wiser!
Other strains worth considering for an energy boost are Jack Herer and Durban Poison.
How about uplifted?
Sour Diesel probably takes the crown for this effect, the plant being a potent sativa-dominant hybrid.
Most prominent terpenes include myrcene, limonene and caryophyllene.
If you fancy something less well known for its uplifting effects, check out Super Silver Haze or Tangie.
Now the euphoric high takes a lot of beating, and hence the popularity of OG Kush.
Not only is the high euphoric, it is also long lasting, but it also comes with a codicil.
Where most highs leave you ultimately feeling sleepy or energized, Hindu Kush will just leave you
feeling stoned!
If you want the same high, but without the strength of OG Kush, why not try GSC or Wedding Cake
instead?
If you’ve had a stressful day, then maybe a nice relaxed high is what you need.
Look no further than Blue Dream, which will also add a hint of euphoria to the mix, thanks to this
hybrid cross of Blueberry and Haze.
Dominant in myrcene, pinene, and caryophyllene terpenes, users of Blue Dream are usually easy to
spot when high, they have a great big smile on their face!
Similar effects can be achieved with Apple Fritter and Purple Punch.
Having trouble sleeping – are you suffering from insomnia?
Obviously if this is affecting your health, then you need to see a doctor.
However, if it is only a minor problem, then Grandaddy Purple could be your perfect ‘nightcap’ just
before bedtime.
This is an indica cross between Purple Urkle and Big Bud and no, we didn’t say Big Bird, though it is
not uncommon to see characters from Sesame Street when you get high!
Rich in myrcene, pinene, and caryophyllene terpenes, other popular sedative cannabis strains include Blackberry Kush and Bubba Kush.
Let us know in in the comments what’s your favorite type of high

Weed Tiredness! What's that all about?
What is weed tiredness and how is it caused?
Okay, lets exclude situations where you’ve had one hell of a day, you’ve been run ragged and you’ve just sat down for the first time as you light up a joint.
Chances are you’ll be feeling pretty tired and that joint may just make you feel comatose.
Weed tiredness is a well-recognised side-effect of smoking weed, which is often why in films.
stoners are portrayed as being lazy and sluggish.
In truth, THC plays a major role in weed tiredness as when it attaches itself to CB1 receptors
in the body, this can create a feeling of tiredness. Thus, the stronger the levels of THC, the more tired you are likely to feel after having a good smoke, However, CBD is also believed to play a role if levels are relatively high as we know that low doses of CBD actually help with alertness.
CBD in relatively large doses is recommended for sleeplessness.
Beyond this we then have terpenes, those chemicals responsible for the smell and taste of
cannabis.
In the same way we use certain scents to create an atmosphere of calm, like lavender, the
strength of terpenes in certain cannabis strains also help to create a sense of tiredness and
lethargy.
Finally, the cause of sleepiness can also be put down to whether you are using a sativa-based
or indica-based weed.
Research shows that Indica strains are more associated with relaxation and calming, while
sativas tend to be more uplifting and exhilarating.
So, if you suffer from drowsiness and feeling wiped out after smoking cannabis...
Don’t blame it on the sunshine.
Don’t blame it on the moonshine.
Don’t blame it on the good times.
Blame it on the THC... our little homage to The Jacksons

Organic Vs Synthetic Nutrients: Which is Best for you?
Is organic or synthetic fertilizer best for your plants?
The simple answer to this question is yes, but is it best for you?
That is a very different question, but equally as important.
So, let’s have a look at why organic fertilizer is best for growing plants.
First, it is all natural and is therefore good for all the microbes in your soil.
As you continually enrich your soil, so its life is extended.
It also improves soil structure, with less nutrient run off and therefore less nutrient waste.
It gives your buds more flavour and the cannabis a stronger aroma through increased
terpene levels.
You’re less likely to burn your plants through overfeeding.
However, there is also that word ‘convenience’ which is a very seductive word for many of
us, and synthetic fertilizer is convenient as it comes ready prepared and is easy to use.
It usually works out cheaper too.
The greatest advantage of synthetic nutrients is they are quickly absorbed by plants, so can
provide an instant remedy to any chemical or nutrient shortfall.
That is the biggest drawback of organic fertilizer, and that is that the plant is slow to absorb
the nutrients in it.
Synthetic nutrients also give you greater control over dosing, but the drawback is that you
need to feed your plants more often with synthetic nutrients because of run off.
The other drawback with synthetic nutrients is that it is easy to overfeed your
plants, and that is as disastrous as underfeeding them.
Finally, apart from the fact that synthetic fertilizer is bad for microbes, which healthy plants
benefit from, it also results in a decrease in the fertility of the soil you are using, which is not
good news.
So, maybe you can see why we prefer organic fertilizer, but why we also acknowledge that
there is a place for synthetic fertilizer as well.
Let us know which you prefer and why In the comment section below.

Weed Smokers Cough! What to do?
How to relieve a weed smoker’s cough
The simple answer is to stop smoking weed, but then for many that is the same as asking the
tide not to come in.
In reality, if you smoke a lot of weed and have developed a cough with a lot of mucus, it is
likely because of your lungs’ defence mechanism.
While our lungs are full of alveoli which enables us to absorb oxygen into our bloodstream,
they are all full of cilia, which are hair-like projections responsible for creating mucus.
That mucus then traps the irritant in the lungs and as you cough up that unpleasant ‘stoner
mucus’, you also cough up the irritant.
Over time, your lungs become ‘contaminated’ with tar and other irritants from the cannabis
smoke, and the cough never seems to go away.
It goes without saying that if you do develop a cough, and especially if it is a dry cough, it is
always sensible to go and see your GP.
To be honest, that cough is a warning that your lungs are struggling, and it is also a warning
sign.
As our lungs are so critical to our wellbeing, it is well worth considering how you consume
your cannabis in order to give your lungs a well-earned respite.
There’s cannabis tea, hash brownies, or even vaping which, while not ideal, is meant to be
much less damaging than smoking weed or tobacco.
If you do decide to give your lungs a rest from cannabis smoke, now might be a good time to
put them through their paces with some good old-fashioned exercise like running or cycling.
You can also try some breathing exercises, such as box breathing and no, that doesn’t
involve sticking your head in a box!
It is also good for helping you destress and relax, which you may want to do if you are
missing your daily joint...

Tips to Help you Dry & Cure your Cannabis!
Great tips to help you dry and cure your juicy buds
Two things to first take note of.
There is a difference between drying and curing buds.
First you dry your buds, then you cure them, as we will explain further.
Second, drying your buds doesn’t mean putting them into a warm oven and drying them to a
fragile crisp, no.
Drying is more a case of reducing the moisture content but only so much.
If you ever use rolling tobacco you’ll know what we are talking about when you compare
smoking a rolling with tobacco from a newly opened pouch of tobacco to smoking one you
make with tobacco that was opened a month ago and that’s now as dry as a dead dingo’s
whatsit!
The first is a smooth smoke, the second is harsh as hell and makes you want to cough your
lungs up!
So, let’s talk about drying your buds.
You can do this by drying them while still on the branch, or you can trim them first and dry
them on a rack, remembering to turn them frequently to stop them flattening out.
We recommend trimming your buds first as once dry, they are more fragile and prone to
shedding when messed around with.
Drying should take about 7-10 days depending on the environment, which is ideally around
45-55% humidity as you only want to reduce the moisture content by roughly 15%.
Once dry and you have trimmed buds, you want to fill a mason jar or other wide-necked jar
three-quarters full to allow air to circulate.
For the first couple of days open the jar and check that there is no sign of mould. Allow the air
to change and then seal the jar back up, keeping the humidity level around 62%
After a couple of days, this ritual only needs to be performed once daily, for a minimum
period of two weeks, after which your buds are smokable, but we recommend you wait a bit
longer if you can in order to maximise the flavour and smoothness of the smoke.
In a perfect world you will be looking at buds that have taken eight weeks to cure and inside
the jar keeping the humidity level the same to stop the buds drying out completely.
Once cured, you can also consider popping humidity packs into your jars to stop any further
drying out of your weed.
Following that, all that’s really left is to sit back and enjoy. Let us know how you go about
curing your buds in the comment section below.

Spice & Synthetic Cannabis: How BAD is it?
Beware of synthetic cannabinoids – stick to the natural ones
We live in a society where there is great appeal with regard to manufactured products over
natural ones, especially when it comes to chemicals and pharmaceuticals.
We, mistakenly, believe that it is easier to control the effects of a mass-manufactured drug
as opposed to its more natural form.
The truth is, in certain circumstances, man-manufactured products such as drugs can be far
more dangerous than naturally occurring products.
When it comes to synthetic cannabis, of which spice is a classic example, the effects can be
totally devastating.
These results include mental instability and even death, so watch carefully as we dig deeper
to discover what the problem is.
In simple terms, our body has developed over thousands of years and our physiology is
designed to interact with natural products.
Introduce synthetic products and our body is totally unprepared to deal with it, and
consequently it is very much a hit-and-miss situation as to how it will react.
This is the problem with synthetic cannabis.
To explain the problem in greater detail, the cannabinoid receptors in our body particularly
CB1 and CB2 work in such a way that we can’t overdose on cannabis, we can’t kill ourselves
the way a heroin overdose can.
However, the cannabinoids in synthetic cannabis tend to overwhelm these cannabis
receptors, and that’s when things get dangerous and why something like spice can be so
remarkably dangerous.
In addition, we know how cannabis is grown, either by ourselves or someone else. There are
no nasty surprises that come with it.
Unfortunately, all sorts of chemicals can be used to create synthetic cannabis, and many of
those are poisonous to humans.
When using synthetic cannabis, users have absolutely know idea what is contained in the
drug.
In fact, there are 142 known synthetic cannabinoids, and these will go under the name not
just of spice, but also K2, Yucatan Fire, Sence, Chill X, Smoke, Genie and Algerian Blend.
The market for synthetic cannabinoids certainly exists, but the price people pay for using
them can be great.
Finally, although most synthetic cannabinoids illegally produced are generally intended to be
smoked. they are now being found everywhere else, and especially in edibles including
gummy bears.

How to Identify & Avoid Cannabis Mould
How to identify and avoid cannabis mould!
One or a dual combination of problems is the usual reason why you may have cannabis
mould.
However, let’s be sure that you have got mouldy cannabis and that it isn’t just buds that are
overly rich in white, sticky trichomes – lucky you!
The early formation of mould will see small black dots appearing on the buds.
Thereafter, a yellow, brown or grey fuzzy growth will appear on the buds.
Beyond this, chances are your cannabis will stink, and not of a pleasant terpenes-rich aroma,
just rotting cannabis.
Don’t just check your cannabis in ordinary daylight, use a torch to give you an ultra-clear
look at what is really going on.
Using a torch will make it very clear if you just have lots of trichomes, or if mould has got
your cannabis firmly gripped.
Chances are, your mould will have begun before harvesting, and often growers have their
cannabis in to too humid an environment.
Then, when it comes to the drying process, if this isn’t completed effectively and what you
store away still has moisture in it, can lead the beginnings of mould.
Don’t store your cannabis in plastic bags – you will be surprised just how much moisture can
actually penetrate a plastic bag, especially if it is not hermetically sealed. Tying a knot in the
bag doesn’t create a hermetic seal!
We recommend only storing your cannabis in glass jars with an airtight lid – mason jars are
the perfect type, though tinted glass is always going to be a best option, and it is difficult to
get coloured mason jars.
Don’t store your cannabis in a warm or cold room, or in daylight. Store it away in a cupboard
where the temperature is likely to remain constant and keep the temperature below 23
degrees Celsius as above that creates the perfect environment for mould.
Try to keep your humidity level between 50% and low 60%. Going lower than this will
definitely reduce the risk of mould, but you’ll end up with cannabis that has been dried out
way too much!
Finally, don’t pack small amounts of cannabis in large jars. You want to pack any jar as full as
you can as without air, mould can’t thrive.
Therefore, as you begin to use your cannabis, it pays to move it into smaller jars on a regular
basis.
So, now you have no excuses for mouldy cannabis. Now, about that mouldy bread in the
cupboard...
if you’ve been affected by cannabis mould in the past, let us know what you did to solve the
problem in the comment section below.

5 Reasons NOT to throw away your Male Cannabis Plants!
5 reasons not to throw away your male cannabis plants!
Okay, so when growing your own cannabis plants from seed, you’re bound to feel a little disappointed each time you realise that one of your cannabis plants is a male.
Hopefully the ratio of female to male plants will still see you smiling, but don’t be too hasty when you think about binning male plants.
Okay, we’ll allow you to let rip with a few expletives for each male plant you find, but don’t get too annoyed as all is far from lost.
To begin with, you can still make your own hashish from a male plant, only it won’t blow your head off, and instead just give you a gentle relaxing buzz.
The stems and leaves still contain some THC and CBD, just in low quantities.
However, there are times when you may just want to chill and unwind, but without getting stoned, and maybe the cannabis you’ve got stored away is just so strong that one hit and you’re away on another planet.
In addition to hash, you can produce cannabis oil and concentrates to use in edibles like cannabutter or hash brownies. Once again maybe you don’t want everyone to get stoned, but you like to add a little something special to the food you prepare.
You can dry the leaves, carboxylate them in the oven for 45 minutes, then make some herbal tea. It won’t have much THC in it, but you still get the therapeutic benefits of the cannabis plant.
How about making your own strain of cannabis? Got a couple of favourite strains you fancy combining? You’re gonna need a male plant for that, aren’t you? Time to get creative, like they do on Blue Peter, only they haven’t got round to cannabis cultivation in the Blue Peter garden just yet!
Lastly, male cannabis plants make good compost, and not just for growing more cannabis.
Do you have any uses for male cannabis plants that we didn’t mention, let us all know about it in the comment section below.

10 Mistakes to Avoid When Training Cannabis Plants!
Ten mistakes to avoid when training your cannabis plants
First, let’s give you some advice if you haven’t done any cannabis plant training before.
Don’t try and master all the techniques in one go, learn them one by one over time.
Additionally, you can’t train a cannabis plant by talking to it. Saying “sit”, “beg” and “roll over” will not change the way your plant behaves.
We would also advise you to only train the healthiest of your plants – training is stressful and plants need time to recover afterwards.
For that reason, our first common mistake is to carry out more than one training method at a time as that will have a fair chance of killing your plants.
The next common mistake is not carrying out any training, as this means you can’t optimise your growing space.
Fourth, top too early and you will stunt growth, while fifth, if you top too late, you’ll end up with a plant looking like a Christmas tree!
Aim to top after three to five nodes exist.
It is easy to snap branches if you try and train your plants when they are not sufficiently mature. Best done after topping and not when plants are young as they cannot deal with stress.
Fimming and defoliating must be done before flowering. Doing so once flowering occurs will hammer the yield.
Mainlining involves topping a plant a number of times. However, do this repeatedly when the plant growth is too young will end up taking the plant longer to recover, reduces air circulation and encourages mould and disease.
Don’t use ties that can damage your plants. When carrying out low stress training (LST) tie down the branches avoiding rigid plastic and metal and instead think about using bending clips.
It can be a very costly mistake to forget to support heavy cannabis buds. While breeding and genetics have helped increase the size of buds, increased branch strength is still lagging behind and a heavy crop of buds can lead to branches snapping.
Use trellises or a tomato cage as examples of effective support for cannabis plants.
While defoliation is good to let light through to critical areas of your cannabis plants, over-defoliation can do so much more harm than good.
Only remove leaves once a plant is mature enough and is full-on vegetating.
Don’t carry out high-stress training (HST) on weak or autoflowering plants as the growing period is too short to allow plants to recover afterwards.
Don’t be too worried though, cannabis plants can be pretty forgiving and provided you don’t make all the above mistakes, you should be okay.

Top 5 High THC & full of Terpenes strains by Herbies Seeds
Top - 5 high THC & full of terpenes strains by Herbies
Seeds
The cannabis seeds industry has long lived in the shadows, but now it’s growing into the big and
perfectly legal business it deserves to be. We want to look at some of the most popular strains
from the biggest seedbanks across the globe, starting today with Herbies Seeds
-5 Auto Xtreme
We start our countdown with Auto Xtreme, an autoflowering Sativa that was bred as a large and
massively productive cultivar. It can reach a height of 5 feet, even indoors, and produce up to 500
grams per square meter, or 1.6 ounces per square foot. Besides an amazing performance, Auto
Xtreme boasts 22 to 26 percent THC that produces an insanely potent cerebral high – electrifying
and ecstatic.
-4 Lemon AK Auto
The next plant on our list is also an autoflowering Sativa and one of the best for potency and taste.
Lemon AK Auto combines a zesty citric aroma with an uplifting high that makes you motivated,
focused, and happy. This is the typical daytime smoke to medicate yourself throughout the day, so
you’ll need quite a lot of it. Luckily, this weed is very high-yielding, especially outdoors where you
can harvest as much as 300 grams, or 10.5 ounces, per plant.
-3 Acapulco Gold
This tropical Sativa has been around for decades and always a bestseller. Acapulco Gold turned
out to be a perfect indoor plant – not too tall and very short-flowering for such an exotic variety.
Smokers can’t get enough of its exquisite flavor of coffee, wood, and lemon, as well as its effects
that are euphoric and energetic and make you feel like you walk on clouds. It’s like a trip to a
tropical paradise that you can enjoy any day and the whole day long.
-2 Grandmommy Purple
If you thought that the previous items on our list were strong, wait till you meet the top two.
Grandmommy Purple is a stoney, sleep-inducing Indica that you should only smoke late at night.
The potency of these buds ranges from 28 to 33 percent. No wonder even long-time smokers
approach them with caution, and we strongly advise newbies against taking more than a tiny toke.
What a waste if you think about this weed’s productivity – more than half a kilogram per plant
outdoors and as much per square meter indoors!
1- Apple Betty
Another Indica dominant hybrid and another potency champion, Apple Betty features the same 28
to 33 percent THC that will make your body completely motionless for hours. At the same time,
your head will be filled with heavy-handed euphoria with a psychedelic twist. The funny thing is that
potency isn’t even this weed’s strongest suit. Smokers value it the most for its one-of-a-kind
terpene profile – fresh green apples with notes of chocolate and cinnamon.
This concludes our top list of Herbies most-trending marijuana strains of 2022 , let us know in the
comments if you’ve tried any of the above, and of course don’t forget that you can find them all
online at Herbies Seeds.

Don't Kill Pests! Let others do it For YOU!
Get help from beneficial insects when growing cannabis outdoors.
growing cannabis plants outdoors present numerous challenges we don't have to concern ourselves with when growing plants indoors we are at the mercy of the elements wind rain storms excessive sunshine and too much heat and swarms of locusts..
Okay maybe the locusts is a bit of an over-exaggeration but you'd be surprised what damage a few grasshoppers could do to an outdoor cannabis plant when growing cannabis plants outdoors.
you can go down one of two routes to protect your plants you can go down the all chemical route with harsh pesticides that will kill just about anything that moves from butterflies to worms and everything in between alternatively you could go down the bug friendly route and instead of killing problem insects yourself let others do it for you taking advantage of the natural food chain
here we are talking about encouraging other creatures that are partial to having a snack or two comprised of bugs that like to chow down on cannabis plants so what do you have to do to attract good insects
it's called companion planting you grow companion plants alongside your principal crop with the intention of creating a naturally beneficial ecosystem the next question you want answering is what are bad insects what do i need to guard against
these include caterpillars grasshoppers green flies aphids fungus gnats thrips spidermites and white flies the list seems to be a little daunting but unless you're one of those people who are seriously unlucky you're unlikely to have to deal with all eight of these at the same time
so what about insects and creepy crawlies i do want to attract green lace wings are great in larval form they'll munch their way through aphids spider mites thrips whiteflies and leafhoppers
fortunately when adults they don't have a portion for cannabis plant leaves but prefer pollen nectar and honey dill caraway fennel and coriander are great plants for attracting lace wings and will prove useful in the kitchen as well ladybugs or ladybirds depending on what you prefer to call them love nothing more than to feast on moths beetles mites and thrips
unfortunately they can fly so you need to attract them and keep them create a small pond and plant cilantro chives calendula marigold dill and yarrow which should also attract assassin bugs that will help control pests unlike spider mites and other destructive mites predatory mites are beneficial to your plants as they live off other pesky mites you can attract them by growing mint though keep the mint in separate pots or grow it around the border of your plantation as it can spread rapidly
you can also buy live predatory mites as you can green lace wings and ladybugs you see not all bugs are bad for you or your cannabis plants we'd love to know what your experiences are dealing with insects good and bad let us know in the comments section below and of course if you enjoyed this video like and subscribe so you too can become a cannabis expert

Auto-Flowering vs Feminised: Which is best for you?
Which is best for you – autoflowering or photoperiod cannabis plants?
Like so many aspects of growing cannabis, decisions are ultimately made based on personal choice. Well, either that or a total lack of knowledge and understanding!
Here we have yet another important decision to be made, but is it really a simple decision to make? We actually think it is.
You see, photoperiod cannabis plants require more skill, time, commitment and expertise than auto flowering plants.
You need to be especially careful when you change the lighting schedule in order to change the growth of the plant from leaves and stem, to the production of flowers and subsequent, juicy, trichome-rich buds.
Ordinarily, for photoperiod plants you would have an 18:6 lighting schedule for the first five or six weeks, then you switch to a 12:12 schedule when growing indoors.
The cycle is slightly different and takes much longer when growing outdoors.
With autoflowering plants, it seems that a 24:0 lighting schedule can work best, right through from seedlings to harvesting, though if you are super-cost-conscious, you can have an 18:6 schedule of light and darkness.
So, for hassle-free cannabis, you’d think that autoflowering varieties were a ‘no brainer’, only they’re not.
That’s because there is always a trade-off for convenience, and here that trade-off is yield.
You see, autoflowering plants generally tend to be smaller in size when they reach maturity.
And, the smaller the plant, the smaller the crop.
So, ultimately, autoflowering plants are great for those of you who have never grown cannabis before, who don’t have the time and ability to carefully control lighting schedules, or if you are not looking for a bumper yield.
Photoperiod cannabis plants are great for those of you who like to be fully involved in he growing process and who have gained sufficient experience to know what to do in order to maximise both yield and quality of cannabis produced.
Both photoperiod and auto flowers have their pros and cons, and its really down to you to decide on which best suits your requirements.

Deep Water Culture!💧You Need to try it!
Want to get huge yields? Use deep water culture
Many of you may have heard about, or even use hydroponics for growing cannabis plants.
However, how may of you have heard about deep water culture, or DWC?
If you have heard of DWC, then how about bubbleponics (yes, that really is a word), or top-fed DWC as it is also known?
Seems there is more to hydroponics than first meets the eye.
So, what is deep water culture?
Unlike certain hydroponic methods, DWC uses no growing medium such as coco coir or peat moss, who sound like a couple of social media influencers!
Bubbleponics involves the use of a water pump within the water reservoir which is then connected to small tubes. The plants themselves are suspended in the water within a net ‘pot’ and the tubes from the pump deliver oxygen-and nutrient-rich water directly to the root system.
This speeds up root growth and creates better-established plants.
DWC then goes further with RDWC, which stands for Recirculating deep water culture.
Here, the RDWC system involves a standalone reservoir containing a nutrient solution. By way of gravity, the solution then feeds into another container equipped with an air stone that aerates the water.
A pump then forces the water through tubes that connect a series of containers, each holding an individual plant, before it recirculates back into the reservoir.
The benefit of this system is that it avoids having to install an individual air stone for each plant.
The advantages of a DWC system are well established: faster vegetative growth and bigger yields, reduced problem of pests, plants can grow appreciably larger, the system is low maintenance, and of course, you don’t have to worry about watering the plants!
A DWC system isn’t without its problems though. An air pump failure could be catastrophic if it remains out of action for any noticeable period of time.
Then, of course, you have to maintain the temperature of the water at a constant level between 18 and 20 degrees Celsius.
You have to constantly check the nutrient levels and pH of the water. However, in the whole scheme of things, DWC is probably the most hassle-free way to grow healthy and productive cannabis plants.
But what about you? Have you grown using the DWC method, or thinking about trying it out in the future, let us know in the comment section below.

Create Your Own Booster Teas for Vigorous Growth!
Have you used booster teas for improved cannabis growth?
Before you jump to the wrong conclusions, here we are not talking about making cups of builders’ tea with a splash of milk and four sugars.
Nor are we talking about a delicate cup of Earl Grey tea with the mils added to the cup before the tea.
No, we’re talking about the type of ‘cuppa’ that cannabis plants love – lots of lovely microorganisms to help mineralise nutrients and make them easier for your plants to absorb.
We should tell you now that you’ll be needing an air pump, and air line, a bubble stone and a specific ‘tea bag’ that will retain the bulk of the sediment and simply allow the nutrients and microbes to filter through.
Making ‘tea’ involves using aerobic stimulation to activate microbes and catalyse the fermentation process, basically making the tea.
All you really have to do is pile all the ingredients for your tea into the special bag and immerse it in a bucket or tank in which you have set up your air pump.
The water temperature needs to be around the 21 to 24 degrees Celsius mark otherwise the tea won’t ‘brew’.
Ideally you want to leave your teabag in the water for 24-48 hours and you’ll know if everything is working as you will begin to see a scummy froth appearing on the surface.
The good news is this is the enzymes, amino acids, carbohydrates and signs of biological processes taking place.
You also need to be aware that there are usually two types of tea, one specifically for the vegetative state, and one when it’s time for the flowers to bloom, so you will also have to get your timings right.
You can use your veg tea every 2-3 weeks, while your bloom tea after week six if you are growing a plant that will be ready for cropping after 8 or 9 weeks.
Finally, it only remains to talk about the recipes for these two teas.
For a simple veg tea, in your strainer bag/sock add 100g earthworm castings and 100g of Bat Guano. (that’s bat shit to you and me).
Suspend it in 20 litres of dechlorinated water with 50ml of liquid seaweed and 3 tablespoons of molasses.
For a bloom tea, you can add 100g earthworm castings, 100g of Bat Guano, 50g Sulphate of Potash and then suspend it in 20 litres of dechlorinated water with 50ml of liquid seaweed and 5 tablespoons of molasses.
Once you’ve got the hang of making tea, you can create your own recipes – the research into what options are available should keep you busy for a month or two as there are over 1600 different types of protozoa and microbes that you can add to your booster tea, so do let us know how you go about making yours in the comment section below.

Does mixing Cannabis with Tobacco Increase Addiction Risks?
Does mixing cannabis with tobacco increase addiction risks?
Ever wondered how people who don’t smoke cigarettes manage when it comes to smoking a joint or spliff?
Have people become addicted to smoking after their introduction to tobacco came through smoking joints?
How do people who have given up smoking cigarettes manage to kick the habit and still smoke a joint without starting to smoke again?
Is there a ‘healthier’ alternative, a nicotine-free option?
To begin with, let’s look at why cannabis and tobacco are such common bedfellows.
It has long been assumed that tobacco is such a good ‘partner’ for cannabis for several reasons.
First, it enables you to get a full, rewarding ‘smoke’ that you don’t get with hash alone.
Second, it helps to ‘dilute’ the strength of the toke, meaning that you can ease yourself into a high rather than have one hit you like a brick wall out of the blue.
Third, the combination of the two flavours tend to work well together, like strawberries and cream, ham and eggs, champagne and cavi… - well you get out drift.
The problem is that tobacco contains nicotine, which is a remarkably addictive drug, and hence why smokers find it incredibly hard to stop.
The next problem is that there is very little research into the relationship between cannabis and tobacco. There definitely isn’t any research into the number of people who became addicted to smoking cigarettes as a result of smoking joints.
There has been some research, though not conclusive, that reveals that a certain brain state can be achieved from smoking tobacco and cannabis concomitantly (that means together!)
What research has shown is that cannabis is a drug that has minimal addictive qualities, though that is still under investigation. There are cases of cannabis use disorder (CUD), but that may be connected not to any addictive qualities, but purely the levels of pleasure derived from smoking cannabis.
So, while there is little information around regarding the downside of smoking cannabis with tobacco, that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t explore alternatives just to minimise any risk of addiction.
Tobacco substitutes have included Kanna, Damiana, Lavender, marshmallow leaves and roots, and some even use tea, though that can best be described as an acquired taste.
Obviously, You could always just stick to rolling hash on its own in a joint, sticking to cannabis resin smoked in a chillum pipe or through a bong, or going down the edibles route with hash brownies or cannabis cookies, but what do you think about mixing cannabis with tobacco?
Does it get you addicted to cigarettes? We’d love to hear your thoughts on the matter in the comment section below.

10 things I Wish I'd known before Growing Cannabis!
10 things I wish I had known before I began growing cannabis
How many cannabis growers have you spoken to who will admit that they only discovered some extremely useful facts once they had already started growing cannabis?
In truth, it is not really anyone’s fault. Often it is just a case that we all have a habit of making assumptions about things we don’t really know enough about.
As an example, contrary to what you may have assumed, growing cannabis outdoors isn’t difficult. The only reason most people don’t is because they don’t want to get caught growing cannabis!
If you choose the right plant, growing outdoors can actually end up being a lot cheaper.
Next, keep a grow diary.
Record everything you do for two reasons.
If it all goes well, then you have something really useful to refer back to for your next grow, and if something goes wrong, you have a list of what you have done, which will help identify any mistakes you have made.
Don’t assume that because you managed to successfully grow some cannabis the first time you try, you’ve got it all sussed. Lady luck can be your best friend at times, but she won’t always be there to protect you.
Be prepared to always listen and learn from others.
If you buy some cannabis and find a ‘bonus’ seed in the pack, don’t assume you can grow a plant from it that will give you a free harvest.
Chances are the seed will be a ‘hermie’, a hermaphrodite with male and female parts, and you’ll end up with a small yield.
Always buy your seeds from a reputable supplier.
Check your pH levels every day. If the pH level of the soil is wrong your plant or plants won’t feed, and we know what will happen when that occurs...
Read up about vapour pressure deficit or VPD.
VPD involves getting the perfect balance between humidity and temperature and is key to the best results.
Morning is the best time to feed your plants.
They prefer to take in oxygen through their roots at night-time, and soggy fertilised soil will stop that from happening.
Next, be attentive.
Cannabis plants aren’t the same as houseplants – they can’t be left to their own devices for days at a time.
Cannabis plants can be remarkably sensitive and you can kill them within 48 hours if you don’t act smart.
Think about investing in a drip feeder. This means that the plant gets a regular supply of food without drenching the soil, but it also takes pressure off you to always be there to feed it, or them.
Finally, use microbes.
They will help break down the soil and enable your plant to take up more nutrients, not just the ones supplied in fertiliser.
Microbes tend to result in juicier buds and healthier plants all round.
Of course that’s just ten things – there are bound to be other things you wished you had known, but this vid will at least have ticked a lot of them off your list!

Seed vs Clone vs Tissue Culture: Which is best?
Growing from seed, a clone or tissue – what’s best?
The answer to this question ultimately lies with the type of grower you are.
-Are you growing just a couple of cannabis plants for personal use?
-Are you legally growing in larger quantities?
-Are you a major commercial grower specialising in legalised cannabis for medical reasons?
Currently there are four ways for germplasm collection, germplasm being that ‘stuff’ which you can grow a plant from, either seeds or ‘cuttings’ from existing plants.
So what are the four main ways of propagating cannabis plants?
From seed, cloning from a seeded mother, tissue culture, and a clone from a mother created by tissue culture.
Have we lost you? We’re not huge fans of complex botany either, but it’s still useful to get an idea of what this is all about.
We all know what growing something from seed involves, so we’ll skip that bit, other than to say that it is the cheapest way to grow cannabis but takes the most time and has the most variable results.
Cloning from a seeded mother simply means taking cuttings from a growing plant, which subsequently reduces variations found with growing from seed.
The advantage of cloning is that the new plant is already at stage three of its development, so you are bypassing the first two, most dangerous stages of growth.
Cloning like this requires certain skills and unlike animal cloning, cloned plants aren’t always identical.
Time to cultivation is much quicker than growing from seed, though knowing when to take cuttings from the mother plant requires experience.
Next, to create an even better clone, you need to take original cuttings and grow clones in a totally sterile environment, from which you then take further clones, which are known as tissue-culture plantlets
Finally, you can then take clones from the tissue-culture-derived mother.
Yes, it seems to get more complicated, but in simple terms, tissue culture plantlets are created specifically for either growing cannabis or to become mother plants to new clones.
Because the clone from the tissue culture-derived mother is a clone of a clone and all created under sterile conditions, the final clones in this chain are going to produce plants of a very similar quality.
However, as you will appreciate, when you start cloning, not only does it take longer to produce cannabis, but it also becomes more costly and invariably requires more space.
Hopefully you’re still with us, and if you are why not share a little of your own experience in the comment section below, and of course if you enjoyed this video give us a like, and consider subscribing, so you too can become a cannabis expert!

Cannabis Dry Mouth: The Causes & Cures!
What are the causes and cures of cannabis cotton mouth
Some of the effects of smoking cannabis are wonderful, in fact most of them are pretty good.
Unfortunately, there can be one or two side effects which are not so welcome, and one of these is cotton mouth.
So, what exactly is cotton mouth, what causes it, and can you do anything to combat its effects?
In medical circles, cottonmouth is known as hyposalivation, or xerostomia.
For sure cotton mouth is easier to say, especially if you are suffering from it at the time!
The conditions caused by the saliva glands failing to excrete sufficient saliva to freely lubricate your mouth and keep it moist.
We have no idea how they managed to measure this, but hyposalivation is that point when your saliva glands fail to produce a minimum 0.7 grammes of saliva per minute.
The cause of cottonmouth is as a result of those otherwise beneficial cannabinoids, THC and CBD, and a few others.
Cannabinoid receptors can be found in the saliva ducts in your mouth, and when THC and anandamide bind to these receptors, the flow of saliva is greatly reduced, if not halted.
Further investigation revealed that “CB1 receptors predominantly modulate the flow of saliva, while CB2 receptors seem to influence consistency and content of saliva (such as sodium levels).”
Curiously, cottonmouth is neither a cause or a symptom of dehydration, unlike the dry mouth you have in the morning after drinking way to much alcohol and you are struggling with the world’s worst hangover…
At this point we should point out that cottonmouth is not great where oral health is concerned, so it is wise to try and combat cottonmouth as best you can.
First, while smoking cannabis, drink plenty of water, and don’t be tempted to have a thirst-quenching beer or six as that will only compound the problem.
Chewing gum is always a good idea as masticating, no not that, we said masticating, is a good way to activate your saliva glands.
You could also try sucking on a boiled sweet, ideally one of the sour-tasting ones.
Herbal tea is a good counter-agent for cottonmouth, as are oral sprays and also some mouthwashes.
After all, prevention is better than cure…
But what say you? How do you deal with cotton mouth? Let us know in the comment section below.

Spot the Difference Between Male, Female and Hermaphrodite Cannabis Plants
Can you tell the difference between a male, female and hermaphroditic cannabis plant?
Male cannabis plants are about as useful to a cannabis plant grower as a bull is to a dairy farmer.
Okay, you may need it to help with fertilisation and cross breeding, but it won’t provide you with
juicy terpenes-rich and sticky buds.
Not that a bull has sticky buds either, but you get the analogy.
So, to avoid the embarrassing and time-wasting situation of spending months caring for your
cannabis plants only to discover they are all males, how can you tell male and female cannabis plants apart.
More to the point most of us have only ever heard of a worm being a hermaphrodite, and not a
cannabis plant, so what’s that all about?
To tell them apart, you have to wait until the pre-flowering phase as seedlings and plants in a
vegetative state are impossible to sex.
Only female plants develop flowers, or buds as they are known, which produce THC- and CBD-rich
cannabis.
Male plants, on the other hand, develop small pollen sacs at the same place as buds, which is that
space in the V created between the stem and leaf of the cannabis plant.
In the pre-flowering stage, male plants will develop small egg-like structures around the plant’s node, though you may need a magnifying glass to spot them early on.
The sooner you identify a plant as male, the sooner you can remove it from the growing space so
that you only need to concentrate on female plants.
Additionally, the last thing you want mixed up among your female plants is a randy male plant!
In case you are worried about accidentally removing female plants, you can wait a further couple of weeks as then the female flowers should begin to appear.
They appear in the same place as the male pollen sacs, around the node, but it is easy to tell if a plant is female as the round flower bud will be covered in hairs. The mail pollen sac is hairless.
Of course, pollen sacs are still an essential part of the cannabis pant grower’s arsenal, but only for
the purposes of breeding and cross breeding strains.
Finally, we have the hermaphrodite plant, which comes in two forms, The true hermaphrodite, and
the ‘banana’ plant which, sadly, does not produce THC-rich bananas. Now there’s an idea…
The hermaphrodite is easy to spot as it has male pollen sacs on some nodes, and female flower buds on others, though never both on the same node.
The ‘banana’ plant is so named as protruding from the female bud is a banana-shaped appendage,
which is actually a pollen sac and which fertilises the buds immediately surrounding it.
if you are a novice grower and you want to ensure that you have only female cannabis plants, then
invest in feminised seeds, then you have nothing to worry about, as these seeds only ever produce
female plants.
Let us know how you make the distinction in the comment section below.

How to Cure the Dreaded Weed Hangover!
How to deal with the dreaded weed hangover
There’s nothing worse than waking up with a weed hangover knowing you’ve got a heavy day at
work ahead of you.
How do you know it’s a weed hangover?
Well, for a start you’ve probably got a bot (or a lot) of brain fog.
Then there’s the dry and claggy mouth.
Are your eyes dry, red and sore?
Got a thumping headache?
Could you eat at least half a horse you are so hungry?
These are all classic weed hangover symptoms, but there is still some good news.
Weed hangovers are never as bad as drink-induced hangovers and can usually be cured more easily.
We ought to ask the question of what caused this morning hangover?
Were you smoking late into the night?
Did you raid the tin of hash brownies for a midnight snack?
Did you mix and match what you smoked, or did you also have a good drink to help get rid of the
annoying cotton mouth feeling?
Maybe now’s a good time to say that if you enjoy your cannabis, choose when and how you use it, as that can greatly help reduce the symptoms of a weed hangover.
Don’t smoke late at night, avoid scoffing down a load of hash brownies before bedtime, mainly
because the effect takes longer to hit home, and also lasts appreciably longer than if you had just had a smoke.
If you can’t manage going down the ‘prevention is better than cure route’, then let’s look at a few
simple things you can do to get your mojo back.
First, get hydrated and drink plenty of water, not just first thing, but throughout the morning.
Take a long shower and get some endorphins released into your system.
Use some eyedrops from the chemist to lubricate and soothe your eyes.
Eat a healthy and filling breakfast, ideally one which includes lots of fruit as natural sugars are
absorbed into the body more rapidly than refined sugar.
Take some THC-free CBD sublingually (that means under your tongue!).
So, there you have it. Keep your home stocked with fresh fruit, CBD and eye drops as an emergency
cannabis hangover cure and all should be well.
Sure, there are many other ways too, so let us know your secret methods in the comment section below!
