In Calgary, a man has been ticketed for protesting drag queen story time less than 100 meters from the library's entrance. The bylaw officer can be heard telling the man he is receiving the ticket because he was within 68.5 meters of the library entrance. Calgary city council recently voted and passed a new bylaw that prohibits protesting less then 100 meters from any LGBTQ2s+ events.

Jeffrey says, “It was horrifying, there was an escalation of middle age people’s deaths. Just average Canadians came home from work, had dinner with their family and died suddenly at home.”

A Trans Day of Visibility rally was held in Vancouver on April 1, 2023, with hundreds attending in support and some in opposition. A protestor known as Billboard Chris was there peacefully exercising his right to protest, carrying a sign around his neck. Known for attending rallies and speaking out on transitioning children, Billboard Chris is well known for his activism. Several videos capture Billboard Chris being assaulted by a Trans activist at the rally. The assault was clearly witnessed by dozens of police officers who were also on the scene. As you can see in a video he posted after the rally, Billboard Chris clearly sustained some injuries. In addition, he discusses the police's refusal to lay any charges. Following several videos of Billboard Chris being assaulted going viral on social media, the Vancouver Police Department has announced that an investigation is underway. The VPD Twitter post reads, “We have launched an investigation into an incident that occurred at yesterday’s trans-rights rally at Grandview Park. We support everyone’s right to peacefully assemble and protest, but we will also hold people accountable for acts of violence and criminal behaviour.”

UFC fighter Holly Holm used last nights victory speech to call out the sexualization of children. Holm said “I just feel it’s really sad all the sexualization of our children right now and we need to protect them. Whatever that may be, let’s protect the children. Please do anything we can to help.”
