On Sunday we talked about WotC changing what Rule 0 has been known to mean over the years. Today, we look and Mike Carr's words describing the responsibility placed on the DM and the skills that they will need to hone. I know there is an argument that without any players, there is no game. The truth is, players are many and DMs are few, and if you DM is unavailable, you have no game session. If one or two players are missing, the game, likely goes on. Rule 0 is one of the cornerstones of D&D over the years. Having trust in your DM, GM, Referr, Judge, or whatever your game refers to the person running your games is part of the social contract players and GM's have with each other.
