The poor little dog is finally free from the horrible and painful matted fur that comes from extreme neglect.

This adorable little kitten is comforting himself by sucking on his toes, just like a human baby sucking his thumb.

Ravens are highly intelligent and known for using tools when acquiring food. Here, one is dropping rocks into a bottle to raise the water level so he can drink.

An uncommon insect for my home….

Outside my room when I checked in was a baby Mourning Dove. The Mama came down and fed him….a good omen!

While walking my dog I noticed many of these caterpillars had fallen on to the sidewalk and were getting stepped on. So I would bring them back and I looked up what they ate and provided fresh leaves. Within two weeks or so all 19 had turned into butterflies and I released them. Very often there was one or more hanging around and they would fly around each other like they were happy to be together. The music in the background is “Beethoven’s Five Secrets” by the Piano Guys but will always be the butterfly theme song to me. 😊🦋
