Sharon Kinne (born Sharon Elizabeth Hall, November 30, 1939), also known as Jeanette Pugliese and in Mexico as La Pistolera, is an American murderer and prison escapee who was convicted in Mexico for one murder and is suspected of two others in the United States, one for which she was acquitted at trial. As of 2023, Kinne is the subject of the longest currently outstanding arrest warrant for murder in the history of Kansas City, Missouri, and one of the longest outstanding felony warrants in U.S. history. On March 19, 1960, Sharon's husband, James Kinne, was found shot in the head. Sharon claimed that their two-year-old daughter, who had often been allowed to play with James's guns, had accidentally shot him, and police were initially unable to disprove her story. Then, on May 27, the body of 23-year-old Patricia Jones, a local file clerk, was found by Sharon and a boyfriend in a secluded area. Investigators found that Jones had been the wife of another of Sharon's boyfriends, and that Jones's husband had tried to break off his affair with Sharon shortly before Jones went missing. Kids played with THOUSANDS of marks and it was cheaper just to burn the money instead of buy firewood!! In order to pay their debts as well as workers, the government simply printed more money. This flood of money led to hyperinflation as the more money was printed, the more prices rose. On September 30, 1979, Dianna Green was struck and severely injured while in her apartment. She received a blow to the middle of her forehead and, as a result, she suffered the loss of her ability to speak or otherwise communicate. At the time of the attack, Dianna Green was pregnant. She was transported to the hospital where an obstetrician detected fetal heart tones and concluded that the fetus did not appear to be in jeopardy. On September 30, 1979, however, fetal heart tones could no longer be detected and the fetus was considered still-born.

In 1986, 20 people, including 15 young students (mostly 14-15 years old) took off from Timberline Lodge to climb MOUNT HOOD, the tallest mountain in the state of OREGON. TRAGEDY quickly followed as they kids were pressured to keep moving despite an incoming STORM... The students were participating in Basecamp, a program run by the school following the principles of Outward Bound, and required for all tenth graders. Led by Thomas Goman, the school's chaplain, the expedition set off from Timberline Lodge, just west of the route up Mount Hood, on Monday May 12, 1986, at 2:30 a.m. The forecast predicted a multi-day storm, but Goman believed that the climb would be complete before the worst of the weather hit. The party consisted of 20 people: 15 students, a student's mother, Goman, one administrator, and two guides, Dee Zduniak from Outward Bound and Ralph Summers. In today's video, we will explore the tragedy of DAVID SHARP, a mountaineer who attempted to climb Mt. Everest but died near Green Boots Cave. This created huge controversy within the climbing community as many climbers walked by, unable or unwilling to help him. However, David Sharp made several decisions that put him in a position where he was basically beyond saving. David Sharp (15 February 1972 – 15 May 2006) was an English mountaineer who died near the summit of Mount Everest. His death caused controversy and debate because he was passed by a number of other climbers heading to and returning from the summit as he was dying, although a number of others tried to help him. Sharp had previously summited Cho Oyu and was noted as being a talented rock climber who seemed to acclimatise well, and was known for being in good humour around mountaineering camps. He appeared briefly in season one of the television show Everest: Beyond the Limit, which was filmed the same season as his ill-fated expedition to Everest. Sharp had a degree from the University of Nottingham and pursued climbing as a hobby.[6] He had worked for an engineering firm and took time off to go on adventures and climbing expeditions, but had been planning to start work as a school teacher in the autumn of 2006. The Vipeholm experiments or Vipeholm Study (Swedish: Vipeholmsexperimenten) were a series of human experiments where patients of Vipeholm Hospital for the intellectually disabled in Lund, Sweden, were fed large amounts of sweets, including "extra sticky toffee"[clarification needed] to provoke dental caries (1945–1955). The experiments were sponsored both by the sugar industry and the dentist community, in an effort to determine whether carbohydrates affected the formation of cavities. The experiments provided extensive knowledge about dental health and resulted in enough empirical data to link the intake of sugar to dental caries. Tragic mountaineering disasters are all too common on extremely high altitude mountains such as K2, Cho Oyu, and of course, Mt. Everest. However, even on some more moderately sized mountains, tragedy can always strike. In 1971, a group of 15-16 year old students were taken on an expedition in the remote area of the Cairngorms in the Scottish Highlands. This mountain range can reach a height of just over 4000 feet above sea level, a seemingly small number compared to the massive 29,000 foot Everest. The severe and unpredictable weather make the area very challenging for mountaineers as snowfall can occur at any point during the year along with whiteout conditions, freezing temperatures and extreme winds that make it very difficult if not impossible to see, walk or communicate. In 1993, the wind speed measured at the Cairngorm Summit Weather Station reached 176 miles per hour. Still, due to the manageable altitudes and natural cliffs and granite, which are great for rock and ice climbing, the area is popular with mountaineers. The Cairngorm Plateau disaster, also known as the Feith Buidhe disaster, occurred in November 1971 when six fifteen-year-old Edinburgh school students and their two leaders were on a two-day navigational expedition in a remote area of the Cairngorms in the Scottish Highlands. While the group was on the high plateau, the weather deteriorated and so they decided to head for the Curran shelter, a rudimentary refuge. When they failed to reach it, the group became stranded in the open for two nights in a blizzard. Five youths and the leader's assistant died of exposure. A sixth student and the group's leader survived the ordeal with severe hypothermia and frostbite. The tragedy is regarded as Britain's worst mountaineering accident. A fatal accident inquiry led to formal requirements being placed on leaders for school expeditions. On December 20th, 1860, South Carolina became the first state to officially secede from the Union for one primary reason – to avoid the impending ban on slavery which seemed all the more likely with the recent election of Abraham Lincoln. To deal with the problem of United States military forts existing within their state in Charleston Harbor, the state demanded that all U.S. Army personnel abandon their posts. Once President Lincoln took office, he informed the governor that he was sending supplies and food to Fort Sumter. The Confederate government had to make a decision – allow Fort Sumter to be re-supplied or attack, preventing hungry soldiers from receiving food while simultaneously beginning a Civil War. They went with option 2. On April 12th, 1861, Artillery Batteries surrounded the Fort and attacked, bombarding them for 34 hours until Anderson had no choice but to surrender. During this first Civil War battle, the only casualty was one Confederate horse. While The Battle at Fort Sumter was the final event that led to the American Civil War, it certainly wasn’t the first. Tensions had been brewing for decades, and there were multiple major events throughout the 19th century that led to the deadliest military conflict in American history. Mohamed Mohamed el-Amir Awad el-Sayed Atta (Arabic: محمد محمد الأمير عوض السيد عطا; 1 September 1968 – 11 September 2001) was an Egyptian terrorist hijacker from al-Qaeda. Ideologically a pan-Islamist, he was the ringleader of the September 11 attacks and served as the hijacker-pilot of American Airlines Flight 11, which he crashed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center as part of the coordinated suicide attacks. Aged 33, he was the oldest of the 19 hijackers who took part in the mission. Born and raised in Egypt, Atta studied architecture at Cairo University, graduating in 1990, and pursued postgraduate studies in Germany at the Hamburg University of Technology. In Hamburg, Atta became involved with the al-Quds Mosque where he met Marwan al-Shehhi, Ramzi bin al-Shibh, and Ziad Jarrah, together forming the Hamburg cell. Atta disappeared from Germany for periods of time, embarking on the hajj in 1995 but also meeting Osama bin Laden and other top al-Qaeda leaders in Afghanistan from late 1999 to early 2000.
