My name is Sam McCart, and ever since I was 13 (or 14, I can't remember), I have been in love with aviation and flying. I would fly from OMA to SMF twice a year to see my mom, and the thrill of the take-off is what hooked me. From that point, I would always ask my dad if we could get to the airport hours before my flight so I could watch the planes take off and land. Once I graduated, though, I didn't think becoming a pilot was attainable due to my finances (or lack thereof) or the "need" to go the Air Force route (I was not a good student in high school). This was until a couple of years ago when I discovered that it was possible and very doable with the right planning.

The one thing I found in my search, though, is that not many YouTubers were in my situation (40 years old and working full time). Therefore, I decided to start this channel and document my journey to obtaining my private pilot license (and beyond). I hope my channel helps you if you are in a similar situation.
