"Cancer, Musical Theatre, and Other Chronic Illnesses" - Edward Miskie
Welcome back to the Coaching Call podcast Season 5 Episode 3, my guest is Edward Miskie. Edward is a sole survivor of a rare cancer. in his words: This year is my 10 year cancer survivorship anniversary, an anniversary I didn’t think I was going to get! So, I am celebrating with my book "Cancer, Musical Theatre, and Other Chronic Illnesses" (available at Barnes & Noble, Booktopia, Indigo, Apple Books, and Amazon)
A little about what I like to discuss -
You know what's not talked about in the cancer conversation? What happens to your life during and after treatment. Relationships, career, wants, needs... what happens to YOU. You can't go back, so you gotta forge forward; the ultimate transformation. Through my own personal story of insanity and indecencies, I talk about all things survival, and getting back on the horse - even if its a different horse.
A little about the book -
In this fantasy, non-fiction, funny-as-cancer-can-be musical theatre fever dream fueled by chemo, alcohol, sex, & heartbreak you will experience the honest, raw & oftentimes hilarious view of Edward, as he navigates his way through the painful realities of being a full-time cancer patient - indecencies, heartbreaks, wins, shenanigans & more. With no choice but to watch as his relationships, career & life disintegrate before his eyes on the wings of a themed musical montage, Edward faces hard truths, dehumanizing situations, & death, all while scores of nurses & doctors carelessly belt & fan-kick in his face.
Among other things, I am an actor, a singer, songwriter, writer, and producer.

Traveling the world with François de Neuville
Welcome back to the Coaching Call podcast Season 5 episode 1. All of season 5 will be unedited, I am hoping to get some feedback and see if on season 6 I should continue with unedited versions or go back to editing the shows. Let me know, Thanks 😉
My first guest on season 5 is François de Neuville. François is a veteran of 9 years in the military he developed a thirst for challenges. François trained to always aim high, perform at his best, and make quick decisions with one motto: “never surrender”. He learned what it means to be a high performer and developed a strong sense of leadership, discipline, responsibility, and determination.
While living a good life and doing well emotionally, physically, and financially, deep inside, he could hear this voice telling him that there was more out there.
François followed his burning desire to discover the world and set for a new challenge. Quit his job, sold his stuff, and embarked on a journey of self-discovery and actualization, trying to find the answer to who he was. He asked “ Why am I here for? What do I really want out of life?”
Well, it wasn’t easy! He learned valuable skills and knowledge working abroad as a project manager, survival training instructor, first aid instructor, communication manager, and general consultant, and volunteering in humanitarian projects in extremely remote areas and natural disaster areas.
On the evening of September 28th, 2018 earthquakes followed by a tsunami struck the city of Palu (Sulawesi, Indonesia) François his life was changed forever after a near-death experience in a double natural disaster in which at least 4,340 people are estimated to have died as a result of the disaster and more than 10,000 others injured.
