On October 18, 1587, the Manila Galleon Nuestra Senora de Esperanza commanded by Pedro de Unamuno entered Morro Bay near here. A landing party was sent to shore which included Luzon Indios, marking the first landing of Filipinos in the continental United States. The landing party took official possession of the area for Spain by putting up a cross made of branches. The group was attacked by native Indians two days later, and one of the Filipinos was killed. Unamuno and his crew gave up further exploration of this part of the coast.

Had a minor injury non bus related. Took a trip down south to #pizmo beach and stayed at #thecliffs. Currently I live in California and go between Sacramento and Monterey bay. Our skoolie goal is to travel Route 66 and park it on some land on the central coast of California . It’s a dream but we are going to try.

A little overview on what I have in store for my 1991 Thomas MVP Skoolie bus

Installed a SEAFLO 33-Series Industrial Water Pressure Pump on my 100 gallon water tank. At 3.3 GPM, 45 I it seems to do nicely. I’m sure I can only run two appliances at the same time j no it for my Skoolie I’ll say ok. Next up will be my tankless water heater.

1991 Thomas Bus conversion. I started this bus right before covid 19. Just started back up in Jan 2022.

Installed my gravity feed for my 100 gallon water tank

I really have no idea what I’m doing . But it’s great learning a skill that should be applied all throughout life.

Working On my Skoolie during the pandemic.

My 100 gallon tank fit in my bus!. I bought the tank two years ago. Ive been waiting this long since wood cost so much during the pandemic. Now that it’s a little more affordable it’s time to move forward and build this bus.

Bought a bus in 2019, stripped it out and then the pandemic hit cause price of wood and other materials to skyrocket from $1.30 to $8.00 just for a 2x3. We are back on track in 2022 to finish what we started and this time with a sense of purpose knowing how unsure this world can be. This off grid machine will be built with all back up systems from solar to wood burning stove .
