Topping the tree! Ford Ranger burning rubber!
I'm in the tree. After cutting a wedge, I moved around to the back of the tree, tied in and then the fun happens. I cut the back cut and my father-in-law pulls the tree top over. It was leaning back so we took it against the lean. I used my Husqvarna top handle saw to cut it free and then just held on for the ride.
This isn't recommended but it worked our well. I didn't know my truck had enough acceleration to squeal like that. The weight of the limb may have has something to do with that.

Splitting wood quick!! Line 'em up!
Having some fun splitting wood. I knew the last one wouldn't split with one swing but thought I'd see if I could get lucky. Not so much.

Crawlspace French drain and sump pump install for water in the Crawlspace
Water problems in your crawlspace? You may just need a French drain, sump pump, vapor barrier, and dehumidifier. In this video, I show all the steps in the process to go from water problems to pump in place. The next step is the vapor barrier. I'll have another video for the rest of the job.
I dig the ditch, pick up gravel at the landscaping rock place, install the corrugated perforated 4 inch drainage pipe, cover it all with gravel and install my new sump pump.
Under the pipe, I use 3/8 inch clean gravel to make the bottom nice and smooth and over it, I use 3/4 inch clean rock.
It took me about 50+ man hours and I spent 30 hrs under the house digging the trench.
The trench slopes downhill 1 inch every 8 feet.

Tired dog. He played hard today.
My dog Cooper was really tired this evening. He ran around a bunch this afternoon playing while I spent time splitting wood and cleaning up the back yard.
He's just so darn sweet although often quite grouchy when he is tired. Tonight, not so much. He was just sweet.

Splitting wood, sharpening my splitting maul, and hauling wood.
Plated with my dogs. Split a little wood. Sharpened my splitting maul by hand a bit and then again using a grinder. Then we loaded up some wood to bring home. Hopefully we can sell some of it soon.

Extending the culvert pipes. Bobcat S250 skid steer in action!
I extended 3 of our culverts to help widen our road a bit. One of them now has an additional 10 feet. Another hot an additional 6 feet. And the last one got 4 feet.
I Also got to use my 'new to me' Bobcat S250 skid steer. It's going to be a huge help getting our property ready to build a house.

Cleaning up the remnants of the monster in-law tree!
Brought out the chainsaw, stihl ms291, to finish cleaning up the rest of the In-law monster tree that we started working in just after Christmas day.
I recently had a surgery on my hip so it'll be a few weeks before I get around to finishing the tree.

Exciting Gender Reveal
Our gender reveal was fun. We had a friend order us some targets to shoot with shotguns. She had to fill them with the chalk. She also got us a cake to celebrate with.

Having some fun while splitting firewood in the snowy mess.
I decided to have a little fun while splitting some firewood. Our 8 inches of snow has melted away a bunch but still enough on the ground to make a mess.
Just disregard my terrible outfit! 🙃

When playing with your dog in the snow goes bad.
I was playing with my dogs in the snow simply trying to make a fun video and completely forgot about the snow covered pile of wood.
Thankfully, I'm okay with just a small chunk of skin missing in my hand. The video gave us some huge laughs when my wife looked it up on our security camera.

Finished results from excavator week. Culvert pipes installed.
This video simply shows my finished results from the excavator week. I put in 4 culvert pipes just in time for some rainy days ahead.
It's a little tough to see with the sun shining through but hopefully you can see things. I'll do another video on a cloudy day to really get a better video.

Day 5 using an excavator to put in 3 more culvert pipes.
This is the final day for my excavator rental. I thought I might never get it all done.
I installed two 12 inch double walled plastic culverts, one 10 inch, and one 15 inch. Hopefully it's enough to do the trick..

Day 3 excavator work, digging a ditch along the driveway
This is day 3 footage from my excavator week. I'm pretty sure this is all day 3 stuff but there may be some day 4 sprinkled in. Anyway, I appreciate all the help from my friends and family.
The mini excavator did the trick to dig my ditch but this was definitely a long project. More footage still to come.

Day 2 - Pushing over trees with an excavator
On day 2 with the mini-excavator, I spent all day digging around stumps and trees in order to get them off the edge of my driveway. After cutting a few down first, we decided to leave them tall and push them after digging around them. This proved to be much quicker.
It didn't seem like I was going to get anywhere as I never really started moving down the hill on day 2 but these trees had to be removed.
More videos to come so be sure to check them out.
