Unlocking the Potential of Potato Seeds
There are different schools of thought on planting potatoes. Try a few methods and see what works in your area. I also include an update to the chicken coop. (Not insulation this time...lol).
Check out my wife's YT channel @lalaLauraLoxley if you are interested in art and painting.

The Wind Tore Apart this cheap snow fence. Repairs Needed!
I was worried about this. The wind pulled so hard on this cheap plastic snow fence that it tore right off the zip ties. I decided to reattach it using a 'pinch' technique. Also, at the end I take a relaxing walk around the property.

Planning Our Off-Grid Water Project for the Homestead
This video took 3 weeks to gather footage, think, check options and rethink. Proper planning prevents piss-poor production. Measure twice, cut once. Homesteading, to us, means that we can provide for ourselves from our own property if needed and cutting the ties to municipal systems for the sake of resiliency and security.

Wholesome Delights: Crafting Your Own Creamy Homemade Butter!
The Cornell Cooperative Extension in our town provides food distributions for anyone locally that wants it. We were late getting there and all that was left was heavy cream. A lot of heavy cream. We accepted 2 cases of it and started churning out the butter. By making it ourselves, we control what goes into it and how much, and what kind of, salt is used. We use Himalayan Pink salt.
This is an Amazon affiliate link for the mixing bowls we use. They are so solid, rubber bottom and they keep the ice water cold while we are working with the butter.
