Redcat Gen8 V2 Scout II - Friday night jam, 19 Aug 2022
Got the rock course appropriately lit for some Friday night fun, although short-lived (due to humidity and mosquitoes). Still, the work week was happily over and I had some music jamming on my little Bluetooth speaker(not added to the video), and the Scout shined out. 😁
On a side note, I need to get lights on the rest of my rigs, as it seems to bring them to life. Plus, the days are steadily getting shorter.
Element RC Enduro HD (Team Corally Moxoo body) | Rock Crawling at Rosario Head, WA
On an autumn seasonal whim, I endeavored to mount the burnt orange Team Corally Moxoo body on the Element Enduro Sendero HD chassis, and it turned out to be a fairly easy task. I managed to add one hop up, the SSD brass differential cover, on the front end. I have several other SSD alum & brass hop-ups, but didn't have time to install them. I'm thinking, too, that all the additional weight would've caused the stock tire foams to collapse when side-hilling, and, where I was crawling, so close to some steep cliffs, it might've lead to the loss of my truck.
I'll be adding some alum beadlocks soon, and will upgrade to dual stage foams to support the weight of said hop-ups.
All-in-all, it was a fun time, and the Enduro did really well for being mostly stock.

Friday Night Dilemma: What to do with the HG-P402?
Just sharing my brainstorming of ideas for mounting the HG-P402 body, which I bought as a standalone a few months ago.
Axial SCX10 II Dingo - Testing the new Integy C24692GUN Billet Machined Alloy Front Bumper
I've always been interested in the old Integy bumper that was made for the original Axial SCX10 Dingo and Honcho, so I decided to take the plunge and get the gunmetal version to match my dark blue/gunmetal Dingo body.
I like the overall design, with the bull bar, full protection of the front end, and alloy light buckets. What I dislike is the placement of the light buckets, as they're right against the front of the body, leaving little exit space for the LED wire leads. I had to physically bend the leads downward, because I didn't want to cut slits in the body. Also, the buckets didn't come with any fasteners to secure the LED, even though there are two threaded holes, one on each side of the LED mount. If they didn't look so nice, I would simply remove the buckets. 🥴

Traxxas TRX-4 FJ40 with TRAXX
Bought a set of Traxxas TRAXX for my TRX-4 FJ40(Defender) chassis, back in the summertime, and actually got to try them out before Christmas! Low elevations in Western WA rarely get snow, so I was happy to run them in my backyard. I was figuring that I would eventually have to drive in to the mountains to get to some snowy spots.
Traxxas recommends only running the TRAXX in low gear(on a 2-speed chassis), but I'm sure it's because the electronics can't handle the load. It's way too slow for my preference, so I will likely upgrade to a brushless setup. Going downhill in 2nd gear was much more enjoyable!
