66 minutes redo of the first class of the NN shipyard night school Intermediate AutoCAD's first class. We do a refresher exercise to ensure students retain what they learned in Introductory. Then we start new material, beginning with hatching. Then we get into using Layouts and Viewports.

NNS Night School AutoCAD 2020 Level 2 (Intermediate), 2nd class, page 2-4, learning to Extrude, Union, and Subtract to make and modify Solids.

Exercise from page 5-7 of the Introductory AutoCAD handouts, for the NNS Night School. This gives practice of commands: Mirror, Offset, Layers and Linetypes, Centermark, Centerline, Fillet, Rectang, freezing layers, setting layers current, etc etc.

Exercise 429 which involved Circle TTR, Offset, Copy, creating layers and loading the linetype Center, Centermark (and grip editing them), and Fillet. This uses AutoCAD Release 2022.

Joining Sloppy 2D AutoCAD Lines. To Extrude a shape into a 3D Solid you first need to make a Closed Polyline. What if the linework has gaps and crosses, redundant or extra lines or arcs, or lines that aren't even on the X-Y plane? This shows how to use Flatten, Overkill, and Pedit>Multiple>Join to fix the sloppy CAD work.

Loft Dove Cookie Cutter 3D Printing Tutorial to make cookie cutters models for 3D printing. You'll Loft two identical closed polylines, with different tapering angles, subtract Extruded "voids" out from the Lofted solids, and then merge the two make into one and Union them. The bad spots in each Lofted solid are in different places, to the two lofted solids "cancel" out the voids of glitches in each, resulting in one cookie cutter that's wide at the bottom and knife edge at the top, ready to be exported into .stl format for 3D printing.
