GAMO MP-9 / VICTOPTICS RED DOT OUTDOOR REVIEW 07/05/2023
Weather improved so out with my Gamo MP-9 and the Victoptics Red dot fitted. Disappointing shooting from me really as I know this pistol can do much better. Rested or free standing at these distances the Gamo MP-9 / Red dot is capable of sub one inch groups using the VMX 8.18 Grain pellets. 1.3" & 1.6" groups at 10 Yards & 12.5 Metres respectively today and the 15 metres flip ups not much better. Plinking out to 20 Metres is possible too. Really Nice affordable pistol, and fun to shoot.👍

GAMO MP 9 / VICTOPTICS 1x18 RED DOT 10 YARD TEST 30/04/2023
Fitted my new Victoptics 1x18 Red dot on my Gamo MP-9 pistol for a bit of a zero at 10 Yards. Tried two pellets the RWS Superfield 8.4 Grain with the 4.52mm head and the Webley VMX 8.18 grain with the 4.53 head. The VMX seems to suit the Gamo's barrel and the Red dot appears to be nicely setup judging by the 10 Yard free-standing group. Basic instructions on this Red dot would have been nice, but still recommended, for build and performance.
I originally thought the Gamo's trigger pull to be 3 Lb, but after getting my gauge on it, the first indexing pull is 3 Lb, with the pistol firing at 5 Lb. Nice a consistent and with its wide trigger blade, feels lighter than it really is.👍

GAMO MP-9 OUTDOOR SHOOTING REVIEW 23/04/2023
Outdoor shooting review of my new Gamo MP-9 using Webley VMX 8.18 grain pellets. Paper targets at 10 yards & 12.5 Metres, then cans at 12.5 & 15 Metres, with a man target at 15 Metres. Finally two addition short clips of a rapid fire, and some can targets at 20 Metres.
Very good for an affordable plinking pistol.

KRAL EMPIRE XS .22 CAL. 96 SHOT CHRONY RESULTS 25/03/2023
Kral Empire XS .22 Cal. rifle, 96 shots from a 200 Bar max fill, using 15.9 Grain RWS Superfield 5.51mm head chronograph test today. Comparison to the test I did out of the box shows she has settled down pretty well and fairly consistent for a non-regulated rifle.

UMAREX CPS/CP99 COMPARISON REVIEW 05/03/2023
Comparison between the Umarex CPS and the Umarex Walther CP99 pellet shooting Co2 pistols, both using Webley VMX 8.18 Grain pellets. Both free-standing double action at 10 Metres, with an additional clip at the end of the CPS semi-rested at 15 Metres on a soup can.
Weights of the two pistols are 739 Grams for the CP99 and 579 Grams for the CPS, a difference of 160 Grams probably down to the additional workings (and material) of the CP99's top slide, and not too far away from the real steel P99 9mm weight of 630 Grams.
Barrel length is only 3.25 inches (83mm) so both pistols are pretty accurate for plinkers with the average energy of both at 1.93 ft/Lb over 8 shots, though I found the CPS easier to shoot accurately down to its White dot sights, grouping tighter then the CP99 at the 10 Metre targets.
The detail on the Walther CP99 is higher (fake ejection port) but if you just want a reliable accurate plinker on a budget then the CPS pistol is good enough, along with the similar priced Umarex Smith & Wesson M&P45 or the Walther PPQ. Recommended.

UMAREX WALTHER CP99 PISTOL OUTDOOR REVIEW 25/02/2023
Outdoor shooting review of my new Umarex Walther CP99 Co2 pellet pistol. Targets at 10 Yards, 12.5, 15 & 20 Metres using RWS Superfield 8.4 grain pellets, with the 4.52mm head size. Very gusty today and pretty cold at 6 degrees Centigrade, but she still performed very well for such a short barrelled co2 pistol. Recommended.
LMBR R2A Chronograph results (8 shot Superfield average) :-
E/AVG 2.12 Ft/Lb , V/AVG 337 FPS , SPREAD 13 FPS
WEST HUNTER ADJUSTABLE PICATINNY SCOPE MOUNTS 22/02/2023
Thought I'd try some of these Westhunter adjustable height scope mounts. They come in both Dovetail and Picatinny, with the Picatinny Gold colour shown here. Other colours available are Red, Blue, Brown, Silver & Black. Adjustable centre of scope height is between 32mm to 38mm (approximately Medium to High mounts). Quality seems very good for the price and these mounts do allow a small MOA adjustment due to the design of the mounts, along with 25mm inserts for fitting one inch tubes.

KRAL EMPIRE XS .22 CAL. 25/28 METRE SHOOT 11/02/2023
Finally found time to try out my new Kral Empire XS .22 Cal. Airgun at 25 & 28 Metre targets, using H&N Barracuda 15 pellets, 15.89 Grain with the 5.52mm head. Rough zero and a freshly cleaned barrel so not too bad. Much more Lead down this barrel should tighten these groups up. Real nice affordable air rifle, very well balanced with a great trigger. Recommended.

BENJAMIN TRAIL NP MK2 PISTOL 10 METRE TARGET 05/02/2023
Benjamin Trail NP Mk2 break barrel .177 Cal pistol. Accuracy test at 10 Metres using Webley VMX 8.18 grain pellets. Five shots semi-rested, then five shots free-standing. Pretty good for a plinking pistol. Seems shooting rest sensitive but accurate when zeroed in. Quite heavy at over 3.5 Lbs, definitely an Adult pistol.

KRAL EMPIRE XS / RED LED TORCH 25 METRE TEST 03/02/2023
Fitted my new Red LED light onto my Kral Empire XS. Tried it out at 25 Metres using H&N 15 , 5.52mm head weighing 15.89 Grain pellets. Basic 5x Mag scope used which by the grouping was not quite zeroed in, which explained the miss on the flip-up. Bit breezy tonight, but the LED works very well, as does the scope mounted rail. The Kral Empire XS is shooting well and should make a nice compact short range ratting rifle with the right scope fitted.

BENJAMIN TRAIL NP MK2 PISTOL OUTDOOR REVIEW 28/01/2023
Outdoor shooting review of my new Benjamin Trail NP Mk2 break barrel .177 Cal. Pistol. Targets at 10 yards, 12.5, 15 & 20 Metres. Not my better shooting but this really is great accurate pistol, that shoots way way better than me. Highly recommended.
BENJAMIN TRAIL NP MK2 PELLET & ACCURACY TEST 22/01/2023
Short pellet and accuracy test of my new Benjamin Trail NP Mk2 break barrel .177 Cal. pistol. After testing six pellets, two wadcutters, two medium weight domes and two heavier H&N pellets. Budget plinking pistols need an affordable quality dome pellet if hitting targets out to 20 Metres is required. Both the VMX & Superfield are capable of this task, and the VMX is a pretty cheap pellet, and seems to work very well in this budget Gas Piston break barrel pistol.
Pellets tested (5 shot average from my LMBR R2A)
7.00 Grn. RWS Meisterkugeln - Energy 3.89 Ft/Lb -Spread 11 FPS
7.26 Grn. Webley Veloci Pell - Energy 3.78 Ft/Lb -Spread 13 FPS
8.18 Grn. Webley VMX. - Energy 3.57 Ft/Lb -Spread 03 FPS
8.40 Grn. RWS Superfield. - Energy 3.66 Ft/Lb -Spread 09 FPS
8.64 Grn. H&N FTT - Energy 3.91 Ft/Lb -Spread 10 FPS
9.57 Grn. H&N Barra Light. - Energy 3.75 Ft/Lb -Spread 09 FPS
