This video goes over how to code in a way that you write small pieces of code at a time. It also describes how to make branches and do pull requests, which are required when you want to resubmit a code assignment. This is an excerpt from a longer video I made in a previous semester for an announcement.

An introduction to the course

This is a video that talks about memory, the stack, the heap, and how memory is managed in hardware and software. It has specific applications in C#. This video was created to supplement CSE 210: Programming with Classes, a BYU-Idaho course.

So many students have struggled with class diagrams, so I've been rethinking my stance of just letting everyone find one that works for them. You don't have to use PlantUML, but I want some actual class diagrams for design assignments.

This video shows a simple program similar to a class assignment. The program has a game with a coin toss, a dice roll, and a card hilo game. This is not part of a specific class assignment, but represents a class assignment. We show a class diagram, how to make a program design, and then how that design translates to code. This video covers the basics of classes in C#. In particular, it covers attributes, constructors, destructors, methods, static members, the "this" reference, how to properly document classes, and how to print out class information by overriding the ToString() method.

A video on the concept of abstraction in programming. Example code is in C#. This video was created in support of the BYU-Idaho CSE 210 course, Programming with Classes.

This video goes over what version control is, a little about Git, and a demonstration of how to use it. C# is the programming language used in the simple example code and VS Code is the IDE that is used for the demonstration.
