Deck and T1-11 Siding Repair Using wood Hardener Liquid Nails and Flex Seal
Our House Project: Https://www.my59ranch.com
If your exterior siding has sustained damage, you can patch it with filler, but it has to be the right kind of filler. Any product intended for interior use will crack and wash out in short order, even if you paint it. Exterior filler must be waterproof, and it must be able to flex with the wood as it swells and contracts in changing humidity. Exterior spackling compound and caulk fit the bill, but they never harden and are consequently difficult to shape. The best filler for your siding is a two-part epoxy product that cures to a rock-hard consistency. From our experience this has worked well here in North Carolina - but check with you local hardware supply and or manufactures to ensure it meets you home needs.

Rescue a Bird in the Chimney - can the rope help?
our story at https://www.my59ranch.com
We have been working on cleaning up from a storm. Typically it means me getting onto the roof and blowing leaves, cleaning up sticks on the roof and around the house. What I found was many leaves around our bedroom chimney. I used my blower and cleaned it out. What I did not know - there was a bird nest there. I actually blew the (What I think is a female wren) down the chimney (between the flu and the outside protective pipe.
The good news, my wife had the initial idea of putting some type of platform down the pipe. I thought about the fat tree rope. I don't know if you can tell in the video but I was over joyed to rescue this bird. I was at the point of pointing a fire extinguisher down the pipe to put it to sleep. I did not want to do that at all.
Thanks for stopping by!
