Using Video as an Alpha Matte and a Displacement Map for VFX in Motion Design
After my morning coffee, I was able to trouble shoot last night's lab issue.
We had green screen film burning.
We were able to use that to animate off a logo.
But displacement and distress were now working.
Here is the full workflow for:
Green screen removal
using that clip as an alpha matte
duplicating it to see the film burn and use it as an alpha matte
duplicating it a 3rd time, making it greyscale
setting the grey scale up for a displacement map
applying the displacement map to our logo
