Magnificent 7 VS 7 Samurai - Ken and Rastislav This is a rerelease from 2019 from the media channels podcast, a sort of unknown pilot or test on our film reviews. In this episode Ken and Rasto take each other on (debate style) to determine which movie is better. Which film will come out on top? The 2016 remake of Magnificent Seven or the 7 Samurai film which the original was based from. We recorded this episode in late 2022 over the holidays. Special Guest this time is Tyler, our Japanese expert and Ken who is actually in the Studio as our director/producer. Pom Poko is a 1994 Japanese anime with sometimes cute, and sometimes not so cute transforming racoon dogs or otherwise known in Japan as tanuki. The tanuki are a mythical creature that has remained hidden for centuries from its human counterparts in a forest just outside Tokyo. Unfortunately things begin to change for the tanuki as they are being threatened by a new suburban project that is in development in their territory. In a series of misadventures and pranks the tanuki are forced to take more desperate measures to try and save their home.
