Its nest building time for the ospreys. I saw this one make several trips in to pick up hay to carry back and line the nest.

Yesterday I videoed a bald eagle chasing an Osprey at sunset on the beautiful Coosa River. The eagles are known to steal fish from the ospreys.

People have the wrong idea about the collars. Some people think they’re mean and cruel but as you can see my dogs love to have their collars put on. They were like them to be an able to go have a big adventure Offleash. I always have the security of knowing that they can hear me when they’re out of my sight in the woods honey. All it takes is one beep from the collar to know it’s time for them to come back to me and get a treat.

There is nothing like an afternoon break with your favorite soap opera and sweet Belgian Malinois hugs. Peaches missed out on hugs as a little puppy. I think she is trying to make up for all the hugs she missed. Wrapped around my neck is her favorite place to be.

The Osprey’s were circling overhead looking for the perfect place to build their love nest.

Zak has learned by watching me look up that I’m always watching for the bald eagles that live around here. He was what lead me to the tree the eagle was perched in. When it flew over to the point Zak saw where it landed. But you can also see him sniffing the air for its scent.

When I needed a hand, I found your paws.

Little Bit loves to play in the water. The temperature got up to 80 degrees today. That means let the water games begin!!

Zak has figured out how to make room for both of them to sit on the seat with me. Peaches gets in and hogs the seat by laying down. Which leave Zak hanging on to the front of the seat by his toenails. Tonight he took another strategy by sitting on her head. He looked rather pleased with himself.😂

The dogs and I hiked back to the eagles nest . One was sitting in a tree overlooking the nest. The other flew in minutes later. I’m a little concerned that neither one brought food for the babies while I was there. I have seen the chicks yet. Hopefully the nest is so deep that I can’t se them and not because something happened to them.

At the river today Peaches brought a glass bottle in. Lynn took it away from her and threw a plastic bottle for her and tossed the other one the other way. After Peaches brought back the plastic one she went back into the water and found the exact same glass bottle, through water and 50 mph winds. That’s a good nose.

I was filming the bumblebees when one decided he was tired of being a star. It dive bombed the camera 3times. But the funny part is the sound he made . It sounded like a race car.

After shopping Peaches needed a reward for being so well behaved. I stopped by Chick-fa-Alan’s got her her first Pup Cup. She loved it, just wanted more.

Spring time is birthing season. Notice decal missing this morning. So into the woods I go to search for than you can. It was a beautiful little heifer.

After working on sorting some cows was the perfect time to practice some stay and recall exercises while the dogs were tired and ready for a break.

Yesterday afternoon Lynn caught this nice 25lb catfish. It was quite a fight getting this one on the pier without breaking the fishing line.

Gunner gets a little impatient when it comes to breakfast call.

I caught one catfish yesterday. I put it in the poll for a few minutes. Then the dogs saw it and tried to catch it again.

Playing with the dogs on this cold winter day. Obedience training traversing uneven terrain. Sit stay and must of all to build her confidence.

Three years ago my 20 year old mare gave birth to Gunner. He father had a habit of sticking his tongue out. Gunner came out of the womb with his tongue out too. I can’t believe he is a three year old now.

This is my latest embroidery art. This is Sky . A paint mare that I raised from a foal. I sold her a few years ago to a friend and neighbor of mine.

I love the sound of the rolling thunder of horse hooves striking the ground while running free. It makes a gray , rainy,windy day seem so much brighter.

Peaches is a very timid rescue dog. She needed all the reassurance she could get at the veterinary office today.
